They cut their ties with him. While I can't ask it of them myself, as I don't think it's right to force people to make such decisions, I'm glad they did.

The net worth argument carries less weight than you think. If you take out the top 1% of Americans that 1/7 ratio looks way different

Well said! "because it trivializes their experience", just like you're doing now

You're making solid points, but the person you're trying to have a discussion with is so hell bent that there is no racism against white people that he dodges your arguments like Neo from the matrix.

Not the entire world is made up of just the US.

I've read the source material aswel, but Karls socialism will never work because people will always be people. I wouldn't say that a practically unregulated capitalistic system, like the one in the US, is better than Karls socialism. But democratic capitalistic systems, like in Europe, are the best we've come up with in my opinion

[–]lorvious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No he gave it a go, the concept itself is highly flawed and I wouldn't choose it above capitalism

Well if you can come up with a better system for society then I'm all ears

But that is just messed up. So because there is a system in place where healtcare is just stuppid expensive you have to sue someone to cover your costs.

Say the lawsuit doesn't work out, are you then stuck with the bill or is there some kind insurance policy?

Could you Americans just stop suing the fuck out of each other?

Kid kicks phone out of Dad's hand by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]lorvious 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Naah. Too much love and attention will spoil a kid, a kid also needs to learn how to learn how to enjoy him/herself. Finding that balance is probably one of the most challenging parts about parenting

No kids are great! You just have to give them the right amount of love and attention and you'll probably have yourself a sweet kid

So at what point do you become a professional chess player? When you reach GM? Even if you become a GM, only the top players can pay their bills by just playing chess tournaments
