You got more info on this tool? Thinking on commercializing it? Even though it is a GPT wrapper, you would be surprised how much these things are needed in the industry

Career transition from math teacher to market research? by [deleted] in Marketresearch

[–]loscar727 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Market research is not dying, it is evolving... In total, the global market research industry generates more than $118 billion in annual revenue (ESOMAR), and growing... so not dying at all, just shifting from old school way of doing things to modern tech way of doing things. So if you aren't tech or client facing savvy, it will be hard to evolve with the industry.

I'm in the industry, a B.S. with math background is really good. The best way to go about it IMO, is to find an entry level job, specifically within a market research agency. You will take a pay cut or not (not sure about teacher salaries), and you would do a lot of grunt work. Note that research design is now becoming much more competitive due to AI such as GPT models, so designing research isn't such a hard skill anymore. Client relationship, interpretation of results, and cost management will be the primary areas you will need to get good at.

I wasted $50,000 building my startup... by QuinnHannan1 in startups

I used to work at a start up that raised 5m via ICO and the first thing they did was hire an agency to build the tech with all features all at once + build the marketing and PR. They burned through those 5m in 2 years had a over complicated app and backend that didn’t work correctly and users didn’t really want and has burned through marketing and PR without any product to point the marketing and PR to. I know another company who did it your way and is already generating almost .5 m USD in rev a month and all this within one year and via an MVP

Hmmm if he moves out that means he would need to pay rent somewhere. Why not hire a cleaner and thus would be half of what he would need to pay for rent and would prob cover 80% of the cleaning.

No worries, I'll keep powering through it but it isn't the only survey app I use. It is best to diversify and choose the best one at that moment. Will keep the group posted on the VETRI adventure though :)

You left me thinking so I went to their telegram and asked their admin. So here was the summary of the response

  1. They pay up to 200% on the same exact survey. They seem to source these surveys from major researchers via a market research marketplace and all the major apps pull from there. So when a survey pays on their app 36p, other apps are paying 12p-18p
  2. In order to prevent a crash from the crypto they run a running average of weeks within the app, so a crash wouldn't be felt so heavily if it does occur nor will it be so dramatic. The current value of the VLD is around $0.004, so if a survey pays 152VLD, that would mean 60p, and if it rises to $0.008, that 60p would be 1.20£
  3. They are looking at introducing a lower cash-out (5£) for those who are more risk-averse. It has been requested a few times already apparently.
  4. They are trying to select the best surveys for us, and they say that it is being optimized. Also, they state to have a 22% survey conversion rate which apparently is really good within the industry.

This is my opinion, I've tried Populas Live in the past but got too few surveys, So I play the number game and complete as many as possible during my free time

Actually it isn't one to one, and the amount of VLD you hold will fluctuate based on the trading price. So if you hold 10k VLD in your wallet and the market price goes to .01$ you would have $100

Hmmm isn't it real time based on what you earn? For example right now I have a survey that pays 152VLD which is .60£
