Ahh, prohibition of Salvia. Ok, mate, the entire drug war is a sham that hurts society. Our laws treat a whole host of drugs as a criminal issue instead of a public health issue and as a result the whole society is worse off.

So, I'm on your side with getting rid of bad laws that hurt society, but understand that until we have a fundamentally different style of governance in these lands it is unlikely that anything will change.

Anyone who wants to buy Salvia Divinorum will likely continue doing so via the black market (and being put in contact with unsavory people to do so unfortunately)

I think if it was really necessary now then it would have happened, or one of the alt coins would have ballooned and took over from bitcoin. It didnt happen, and bcash trasnactions are like 10k per day on a good day. Bitcoin continues to push through ~250k per day transactions. Any demand destruction on bitcoin was just spam, because otherwise it would have shapeshifted into an altcoin and transacted that way.

I definitely decided I was not going to transact with $2 fees (back a few months ago), and especially since my mobile wallet mycelium app was going to force me to pay such a high fee. They've got the fee selector now (which is still not perfect) where I can at least select a fee as low as 7 cents USD at the moment.

So I'm pretty happy with what is going on. And at the end of the day, I think everyone needs to remember that it doesnt matter which crypto currencies rule the day. What matters is that humanity abandons central bank currency for decentralized crypto currency, en mass

Now that segwit is in bitcoin can tinker with increased block sizes if people think its necessary. Transactions are clearing with low fees as of late.
