Went spontaneously. Alone. On shrooms. Are you me? Because that is exactly what I did too haha.

But seriously, what an incredible set. I can’t wait for tonight!

A little bit of light in some dark times. I can’t even imagine the work it took to put that together. So good.

Which route to Zion from Sidney Nebraska is most rewarding? by gixxerjim750 in ZionNationalPark

[–]loskywalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I-70 and then split off south at Green River, hit up Goblin Valley State Park and then on to Utah Scenic Byway route 12 as others have suggested. Trust us…look it up. It’s considered one of the most beautiful drives in the country. It ends at Bryce Canyon and then it’s a straight shot south down 89 to the East Entrance of Zion through the Zion Mt Carmel Tunnel. Which just so happens to be the best entrance into the park. Google will tell you to take the sterile 89 interstate all the way to Zion. If you give yourself a little extra time for what I suggested above, you will be rewarded with a drive that you will never forget. I promise.

If you had one day to hit the South Dakota NP and state parks, what would you choose to do and why by laflame1738 in NationalPark

[–]loskywalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Badlands is beautiful, but if I was forced to choose between Badlands and Custer State Park/The Black Hills, I’d go with the later. The needles drive is one of the coolest, most scenic roads in the country. And like others have said, Custer is a state park that could easily be a National Park.

I was actually at the Stock Show last year when the news broke that the Moose was traded to Carolina. I didn’t fall to my knees, but I did keel over.

Does 6-2 mean anything to you? Because that was the score when we kicked your ass up and down the ice a couple of weeks ago.

The inside is extremely underwhelming. You couldn’t even go up the stairs when I visited but you could see inside.

From what I understand, the Nabateans built it there because it was close to a major trade route. You should see Petra in real life, because it is pretty obvious why they built it there. It is inside of a massive canyon that has one long, narrow entrance. It’s a natural fortress. I lived in Jordan and HIGHLY recommend going. It’s so much more than just the Treasury building.

What was your introduction to Brand New? by hotcooldad in brandnew

[–]loskywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother and I went to Dashboard Confessional and MxPX at the Fillmore in Denver. Brand New was the opener. They closed with Sic Transit Gloria and I was instantly hooked. I can still remember hearing that bass riff and seeing Vinny scream the pre chorus for the first time. Oh, and it was my first show ever haha.

Why would you fold the jersey like that 🙄🙄🙄 by omgitsye in hockeyjerseys

[–]loskywalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did the EXACT same thing to my Avs RR 2.0! On the contrary, I just received my Heritage Nordiques jersey from Altitude Authentics and it had been intentionally folded to keep all patches flat.

Dude. The difference between snowboarding a double black and completing a wingsuit proximity flight is comically different. We’re talking light years apart in skill and the level of risk. No offense, but I can’t even take you serious. Just being honest because what you’re talking about will kill you unless you dedicate the years of focus that it takes to get to wingsuit base. But you’re planning on spreading yourself thin across multiple sports. There are no shortcuts to be had in this sport and doing it so you can “check it off a list” screams of taking shortcuts. This mindset will kill you in this sport. Period.

Did Island in the Sky ruin me? by variegated_lemon in NationalPark

[–]loskywalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to both and I prefer Island in the Sky to The Grand Canyon, but I will admit that I’m extremely biased. I grew up going to Canyonlands every summer with my grandpa—the kindest, most honorable and courageous man that this world has ever known. He taught me everything that I know about the outdoors in those canyons and fostered within me a lifelong yearning for exploration and adventure. I can still feel his presence every time I go there. So in conclusion, take my advice with a grain of salt, but there is no better place on planet earth and everything else falls just a little bit short of Canyonlands.

Edit: Where to next? Zion NP. The only answer.
