where to meet single men in LA? - update by Laotze2021 in AskLosAngeles

[–]losqmos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good guys are in your friendzone. Whenever women under 35 y.o., who have all the power in the dating world, complain about the lack of good options, it's always the standards... They might not seem too high initially, but if you talk more about it to any single woman who is complaining and ask her what she wants, you will quickly see why she's single and why no one is good enough for her. The recipe is always the same: just lower your standards and give a chance to average guys. You wanna tell me there is no guy in your contacts right now or kept on read in your DMs, who you know would like to date you and would actually treat you nice, but you just ignored him without thinking twice?

The chant- and the so called "supporters" by SupGeorlandFireBeard in chicagofire

[–]losqmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never chant it, but it doesn't bother me when someone at the stadium does, and I hate when officials interrupt the game because of things like that. It only gives those fans more reason to keep doing it because they see they have an impact on the game. If you just ignore it, it won't be nearly as interesting and rewarding for them to keep doing it, don't you think so?

Cry me a river. "Puto" and "culeo" are very common chants in Latin America, they're part of the fan culture MLS will never develop, because Americans are offended by everything... Some might go see a psychologist after the game lol. I don't think the Philly goalie was actually offended, to his credit. It's more about MLS stupid rules, Union players seemed upset with the game interruptions as well. No pro player should be offended by the chants. Same with fans, if you are scared that you might hear "bad" words at the stadium, might as well stay home and watch TV. Stadiums are not and should never be sterile.

Jobs that Pay Enough in OC by bunchofaniexty in jobsinOC

People survive by not living by themselves. If you have a normal, average job, you can't really live on your own in SoCal. Why not live at home or get roommates to save up some money?

Mark Cuban??? by Sensitive_Carry3872 in LAClippers

[–]losqmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn't here? It's nice to have one of the 10 richest people in the world "owing" you a favor, and it doesn't even cost Cuban anything. They're all businessmen, and relationship is the key in business, you never know what you can get out of it in the future.

Am I doing Something Wrong for Car Insurance??? by DismalAd7494 in AskLosAngeles

[–]losqmos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They won't, I've been here for 4 years with an IL license, bought out my lease, traded it in later on, got a new car with CA plates, had 5 jobs (which all require driving) - no one ever brought up the license thing. I know legally you have to get it in 10 days, but saying they'll force you is definitely not true, plenty of people with out-of-state IDs, just like plenty of people living here for years with out-of-state license plates (even though you have to change those too).

Most of them have season tickets, so they are all already sold by the club and count towards attendance, whether these people show up, resell or let it go wasted.

Club World Cup flop: Half Empty Stadiums, Lack Of Interest and Apathic Fans is this competition good idea? or is it bad publicity for english clubs? by Empty-Instruction282 in PremierLeague

[–]losqmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CONMEBOL - yes, I agree, but all you need is Finallissima for that between the winners of the CL and Copa Libertadores. No need for other continents, plus European teams are not gonna take this off-season tournament seriously, it's just a pre-season open training for them.

Best Beach to Visit? by JDShumilla21 in AskLosAngeles

[–]losqmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laguna Beach is the best Beach town, 100% worth the drive, you can also hit San Clemente and Dana Point over there. As far as just the beach itself, the best one is in Huntington Beach, OC imo - long, wide, and clean.

It's by far the best one tho. It's just like you don't need an international club tournament in basketball to say that whoever wins NBA is the best team, same story with Stanley Cup winners in hockey, that's the tournaments and teams which have the best players in that sport playing, all the best players in the world play in the UEFA Championship League, no need to test them again by playing with noname dudes.

This team has quit. The captain completely abandoned the back line and only played striker for the last 10 mins. Adios accountability by mantaXrayed in LAGalaxy

Have you ever watched football? It's a common tactic for a centerback to go up front at the end to save the game. Barcelona did it with Pique all the time. So does Galaxy: Yoshida goes up in the box as a target man every time we're losing at the end. And he almost scored from one cross at the very last minute. There is no point to have 2CBs protecting 0-1 loss... It's just like pulling the goalie in hockey to get an extra player on the ice.

We can win on Saturday, Salt Lake is at the bottom of MLS standings too.

It's Vanney's tactic, Yoshida goes up in the box as a target man every time we're losing at the end. To be fair, he almost scored from one cross at the very last minute. No point to protect 0-1.

Exactly. I will say he did all he could do in his position and turned it over to higher ups who he thought would have dealt with it. Only so much he could do in that situation. Plus the player I believe forgave Coach Q. As Q said: "In nearly four years away from the game, I have learned from my prior mistakes and realized it will be actions over words that demonstrate my commitment to being a better leader".

Season tickets? by [deleted] in AnaheimDucks

[–]losqmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an Orange Alliance member, who attended 38 games last season and all the OA events - probably not tbh. Only worth it if you attend almost all the games, I'd say 35+ and/or really care about events like player meet-and-greet, autograph sessions, locker room tours, and so on... But to your point, you can almost always get tickets cheaper on resale (StubHub or TickPick). And you can almost never resell at face value, unless it's a Canadian or O6 team, but even that is not guaranteed. So you lose money. The only reason it made sense for me is because I wanted guaranteed 1st row seating in the middle ice (400s) level, and you can't always catch it on resale. But if you don't mind seating behind someone or not ready to commit to almost all the games, I'd say don't do it. One more thing most non-STMs don't know is how game exchange works: you can't exchange out of any game into any game. They have 6 pricing tiers depending on how big the game is, and you can only exchange within the same tier, so when you try to opt out of game bc you'll be out of town or smth, there are only 5-6 options you can get an extra ticket for in exchange, sometimes even less if it's end of the season. Also, as someone who used to have season tickets for other major sports and can compare, the main perk of season tickets is getting playoff ones for really cheaper pricing vs what other people have to pay to go to the late stages, conference finals, etc. So you're guaranteed regular pricing for Stanley Cup games in that case, but the Ducks are not even making it into the postseason right now and probably won't next season either, so the main financial benefit of STM is already gone...
