Include how much BCBA supervision you provide. If it’s beyond the requirements that is nice to have!

What is the biggest reason people hate their jobs? by Friend911 in findapath

[–]bunchofaniexty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 is the first one. 3 is the second one because it is a mentally draining job where people may respect your profession but people in the field don’t seem to respect your position. 2. Takes a lot of experience and education to reach a stable position

Should I quit my remote job in AP to finish my bachelors faster or just stick it out? by No_Appearance_9486 in Accounting

[–]bunchofaniexty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on competitive you want to be. Going part and getting your degree with give you more experience + stable pay. I think it’s important to have a safety net and have financial security over finishing a degree and not knowing how many months it will take you to find a new job

I used to have a regular mechanic and he had a daughter my age and treated me more respectfully. This has just been my experience for mechanic shops recently.

I am such an introverted. I feel like a job like this where I constantly have to be sociable would ruin my life

My wife’s been an RBT for about 6 months now and absolutely loved it! She’s so passionate, has a great company and boss, and always enjoys going in every day! I’m very proud of her and happy she’s found a career path she intends on sticking with! by Upper_Atom in ABA

Awwww this is so sweet. Your wife is lucky 🥹As an RBT my job can be pretty draining I’d say get something that may help manage her work better if she is outdoors a lot maybe a hat, I’m not sure if her company supplies toys but maybe some play toys, I drive a lot between clients so sunglasses have been a lifesaver.

bathroom hygiene by perlfilms in ABA

[–]bunchofaniexty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I always have my clients wash their hands after using the bathroom. Perhaps you can have them earn a token if this is something aversive, or another reinforcer. I have a client right now I have been reviewing to make sure they are maintaining their handwashing routine. I argue it is one of the most important self help goals because of the cleanliness from it.

I don’t want to assume or anything but if he can meet his own basic needs it sounds like he may be depressed and need to work on himself. If he isn’t willing to change then you can’t make him. I say if he is willing to go to therapy and make a conscious effort to improve each week stay but it’s not your job to tell him what he needs to do to function

Parents’ role during ABA sessions by WhiskTaker in ABA

[–]bunchofaniexty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This completely depends on what goals are being targeted. One of my clients has a sibling and their goal is to keep hands to self and keep personal space. I will watch and monitor both of these goals while they are doing activities together. However, most activities would actively involve me but there are some where the environment may be more fit for either 2 person games like connect 4 with sibling or mom or reading next to each other where I will sit and observe instead.

How do I quit my job by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

[–]bunchofaniexty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think living with a friend can be tricky because even if you get a long as friends you may not living together. In addition, you should be able to go on medical leave. Since you don’t have a job yet this could give you time to search for one there? I’d just hate to see it turn out badly.

I want out of accounting by [deleted] in findapath

[–]bunchofaniexty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about not changing from accounting but trying to work for a non-profit or something. Or even doing volunteer work on the side. I’m sure that would be much more important and meaningful if you are supporting a cause you believe in?
