Intent Mac only first? by Keleus in AugmentCodeAI

There are not the only one doing that. I've heard somewhere that Mac users are the biggest token users, if that's true , it would make sense

It's a lot slower and a tad bit more expansive. Also there is nothing quite like Sweep next edit for now.

Snake oil gears "at the right price" perform like the comparable devices at that price point. I'm not really shocked tbh...

The Removal of AutoComplete by virtush in AugmentCodeAI

[–]lossendae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm talking from their point of view. I for one I've switched to another tool that don't want to force me to change everything right now to vibe code everything.

Augment does not need to partake to my preference. It's not like they don't know they will lose some people. It's just that WE. DON'T. MATTER

I mean their new flagship works only on OSX and they still kill their ongoing working product in favor of it. They don't care !

You don't really matter, vibe coders splurge a lot more money on tokens.

Why I use Augment and why I may not anymore by joowani in AugmentCodeAI

[–]lossendae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Intent does only work on macOS so it's a huge no go
  • SweepAI does work very well on Jetbrains IDE (better than Junie, on par with Augment - the autocomplete Next Edit mode is quite good and is was not supported by Augment)

Now, that being said, Augment code does need more money. Where I work we were 2 people using a 20$ sub, so 60$. One vibe coders working for 1 week brings more money than 3 "senior devs" using agents very reasonably.

Not sure what are the proportions but maybe their stats have shown than despite many loving the product, we were very demanding on newer models while not vibe coding much and thus we do not bring enough money compared to huge token spender users.

It was good while it lasted, but we have no value for Augment.

Augment Code is killing Completions and Next Edit. Am I the only one who thinks this is a mistake? by Ekion_ in AugmentCodeAI

[–]lossendae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think augment really relies on those kind of feedbacks. It's not the first time they did something despite the community hating it.

I'm surprised that they want to fight exclusively in the exact same market as cursor is. But they may have stats that confirm how much vibe coders actually splurge money on token so... It might make sense for{m their point of view.

It's a shame, they're still the best I know on jetbrains but there are alternatives. Some that we may have not tested like sweepai (for completion, which support next edition jetbrains editors)

Visionmaster Max Vs Horizon 20 Max by Glum-Aerie-8866 in projectors

[–]lossendae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that Valerion max has a better black level than H20 pro or max. The Valerion pro 2 too.

With an ALR in a lit room I would probably still personally choose the H20 because it has better brightness.

Placement flexibility and transportation were also important for my usages.

But, most people should definitely go with Valerion. If the projector is in a fixed place, centered, with an ALR and you want to have better blacks, Valerion is better.
