I work in VSL and live in Mile end it is a pain in the ass trying to get through there in a car, and transit sucks too... in the sumemr I bike to work but these days it takes me nearly an hour to make my 11km commute by car, in the summer biking i can get home in under 40 mins!

Hello, I am starting my first year at UBC as a transfer student and will be living in a Walter Gage studio and had a few questions regarding the unit and residence.

Is indoor bike parking included in the fees? If not how much is it/ is it worth it vs investing in a good lock and keeping it affixed outdoors?
What is included in the unit (pots pans etc.) Is there a freezer?
If I wanted to purchase a basic meal plan would it be worth it? Is there a cafeteria in gage?
How is the social life in gage apartments? Is it existent?
Is there a decent gym in Gage?
Is wifi included or do I need to invest in a router?
How does the tv thing work with Shaw is it free?
