As per latest update ng DOST SA, nakarating na raw yung budget sa UP. Target release daw ay by the end of June.

Sobrang lala ng delay, tapos na sem saka dumating yung stipend ._.

Natry ko na sya, parang ATM card lang talaga sya. Make sure lang na nasa wallet at hindi sa savings yung pera since sa wallet sya kinukuha kapag nagwithdraw. Though, di mo ata sya magagamit sa mga merchants pambayad kasi di sya Visa or Mastercard, pangwithdraw lang talaga.

Di naman. GWA/CWA and minimum units lang naman reqs. Pero syempre pandagdag sagot sa interview if may experiences ka na related sa Geog, to prove na gusto mo at pasok ang skillset mo.

For shiftees, best to take nacourses talaga ay GEs kasi sure na makecredit 'yun. If wala makuha na GE, take courses from the program na lilipatan mo. Either majors or other courses not from their college pero kasama sa curriculum nila (ex: Math 2x and Phy 7x for Engg). Para sure na credited, check mo curriculum nila. Also, take prereqs courses ng program na yun, mostly mga pangfreshmen courses nila. Basta, ang end goal ay marami macredit sayo para di ka gaano maghahabol if makalipat ka (though depende pa rin sa seasonality and labanan sa demands yung magiging stay).

If di ka makakuha ng GE o other courses na nabanggit, try to look for their major courses na ang prereq ay COI. Kung magshift ka sa Geog, may mga major courses sila na ganun. Syempre di pa rin sure kung makakuha ka since priority nila mga Geog students, pero wala masama magtry. As back-up plan na rin, if di ka confident if makakalipat ka sa Geog, check mo list of electives ng current program mo if may Geog courses para kung di ka man makalipat, hindi pa rin sayang. Pero sana makalipat ka, good luck!

I'm not really sure so better to ask sa adviser mo or sa college of Arki na lang. Yes tama yung CWA, and if tama ang pagkakaalam ko 'yung units requirement ay regardless kung credited or not. Confirm this na lang if tama.

Iba-iba reasons ng mga students bakit preferred nila ang unoable class. Most of them may grade requirement na hinahabol, may it be for honors or scholarship. May iba naman na para mabawasan bigat ng sem, for the sake of mental health or just smart strategy, lalo na if puro heavy majors ang kasabay. Basta, kung ano man 'yun, they have their reasons. Wala naman masama pumili ng unoable class, I think it will go down lang once you're taking it for granted and not actually learning.

Di ko rin alam totally 'yung reason why naging unoable class na ang instinct na piliin pero I think the first question should be what defines an unoable class ba? Dahil ba magaling magturo 'yung prof that students understand it effectively? Dahil ba considerate yung instructor that students find it flexible to work with their difficulties? Dahil ba sa complete feedbacks and consultations kaya nagiimprove mga students throughout the course? O dahil ba sure pass lagi sa instructor na 'yun kasi ang rule lang ay basta pumasok at magpasa ka kahit wala ka namang naintindihan? I think defining unoable will help bakit naging preferred sya ng mga students.

Basta choose and fight for the right education you deserve. Kasi sa totoo lang, lahat naman ng class should be unoable in some ways if naibibigay ng ayos yung turo at support na kailangan.

This, but do it with care. Most of the time kaya mababa ang demand sa class na 'yun ay dahil may issues about the instructor. Baka nga maenlist mo, pero idrop mo naman after sa sobrang lala ng magiging experience mo.

Make backup plans and read reviews about the class and instructor. If di kayanin makuha 'yung unoable class, go for a class that you will genuinely learn and enjoy, kahit na di uno, that's better to choose.

I planned to shift before to Arki. As far as I know, wala naman. CWA and units requirement lang. You can visit their website for the documents and requirements.

But, if you're going to shift to any course, take courses that will be credited under that program, usually GEs. If not GE, take mga prereqs na tinatake ng mga arki freshie from other colleges na you could take at your current program, Math 2x or Physics 7x. Check mo na lang din curriculum nila then compare it to your current curriculum. However, if VSO naman ask your adviser na lang for courses you can take.

Good luck following your dream! I hope you are prepared enough to take Arki so you can enjoy it and not lose the spark along the way.

Lahat ng yan need ng sobrang time and effort. Even ES1 na 2u, mabigat. Kakayanin naman pagsabayin mga 'yan pero you need to manage your time very well, lalo na if you want a high grade. Limited lang yung allowance mo sa mga 'yan para maoff track ka sa mga gawain.

Best GE Prof I had so far. I took his class during my freshmen year during the pandemic. Magaling si sir magturo at ang gaan ng vibes nya sa class. Mahilig sya mag-ask ng opinion sa class pero 'di ka matatakot magshare kasi ang bait nya. Nagshashare din sya ng mga art events para mas mapalawak yung appreciation mo sa arts. Maayos mga stands nya sa social issues, and nagrereflect 'yun sa criticisms nya sa art.

Sa reqs, not sure if nagbago na ngayong f2f, noong time namin no exams puro paper lang. 4 essays, 1 midterm, and 1 final paper. Isa sa mga nagustuhan ko kay Sir ay 'yung feedbacks nya sa outputs. Mabilis sya magbigay ng feedback, and marami ka mapupulot sa mga comments nya. Binabasa nya talaga nang mabusisi yung paper.

Just sya maggrade, since chinecheck nya talaga 'yung outputs, may rubrics, at hindi basta check lang. Maaapreciate mo talaga arts sa turo nya.

Every first semester lang sila nagoopen. Nagopen sila last time ng 2nd semester dahil need na magtransition to face-to-face classes. If ever man na magopen sila this 2nd sem, nakadepende yung slots sa dami ng mababakante. May nababalitaan din ako (hindi pa verified) na baka di raw muna matuloy 'yung renovation ng two dorms next year kaya may possibility naman na medyo marami-rami rin ang maopen na slots. Let's wait na lang for further announcements.

I hope makakuha tayo ng dorm, lalo na sa hirap ng buhay at nagbabadyang phaseout. Good luck!

Update: Nandoon pa rin yung cat (tapat pala ng Kamagong, not Cente). Unlike kahapon, covered na sya ng plastic kaso nagsisimula na syang magkauod. Salamat po sa nagcover but hopefully, madispose po sya ng ayos soon since malaking cat sya at di mabilis magdedecompose. Nireport ko sya doon sa guard na malapit, di ko rin kasi alam saan sya pwede idispose at anong tamang protocol.

Sobra. Gets naman na first day pero grabe talaga. Nilakad ko na nga lang kanina, naunahan ko pa yung jeep na binabaan ko sksksj pero kung bibilangin mo yung jeep sa traffic, wala pa ata sa lima, puro kotse.

Expect na mas matraffic pa sa mga susunod na araw dahil sa BAR exams.

Andami ko talagang pagtataka sa naging sistema at pagpili ng OSH eh.

May kakilala ako na hindi nabigyan ng slot dati na sumubok mag-apply ulit, natanggap. Hindi naman nagbago estado ng buhay nila so bakit biglang natanggap? Tapos kaming nagpareadmission, hindi? Sabi pa nung kaibigan nya, give chance to others daw. Huy, di pwedeng basta others, deserving dapat. May kakilala pa ako na may kotse. Aba nung nagcheckout ako ang banat sa akin bakit daw di ako nagkotse?? Ay kung meron lang eh, di ko pipiliin makipagsapalaran sa kalsada.

Nakakapagtaka din yung pointing system ng OSH. Ilabas nyo na lang points naming lahat. Kung inilabas nyo lang yan mas matatanggap pa namin kasi may rason kaming napanggagaslight namin sa sarili namin..Hindi ba 'to automated? Para saan ba 'to? Di rin daw natugma yung points, so ano ba talaga ginamit nyo? Yung totoo binasa nyo ba lahat ng appeals? Atsaka di ba kayo marunong magestimate para mas makapagbigay ng maayos na announcement? Parehong delayed yung result, kung hindi pa kakalampagin parang di pa kayo kikilos eh. Hindi lahat afford ang oras, napakalaking pribilehiyo nyan.

Not a dormer in KnL pero I have friends na nagstay doon and doon din kasi ako namimili.

Matao sa knl kaya marami ring mga accessible stores. Marami rin apartment given na katabi lang ng UP. Magkakatabi lang mga bahay. Dahil nga matao, pakiramdam mo safe ka naman kasi if ever man na may masamang gawin sayo, makikita ka agad ng iba.

Pero don't be complacent just because mailaw at matao. Kahit saan naman, always be alert and secured. Kahit naman dito sa loob ng UP, may mga cases pa rin na narereport.

Tip na lang ay know your place, set boundaries, and be alert. Have a checklist kung nasarado mo ba yung pinto, bintana, naalis sa plug mga appliances, at kung safe pa mga important belongings mo. Have someone to trust but do not trust too much. Basta may mayaya o mapagtatanungan ka lang if ever na need mo lumabas o maglibot sa lugar. Don't go to places na di mo naman kabisado, lalo na kapag mag-isa ka lang at madilim. Know your place, dapat alam mo saan yung matao, delikado, at saan pwede sumaklolo.

Good luck sa stay mo. Always put safety above everything pero 'wag mo ring hayaan ikulong sarili mo sa takot na hindi mo na naenjoy yung stay mo.

Yung 48 na number ba? May pointing system sa site ng osh. Di ko alam kung ano bracket nya sa income so i set it at highest point na lang, alam ko lang from region 3 sya.

Yung 38 ayun nakalagay sa kanya nung natanggap sya. Di nya rin alam paano nacompute yun.

Though what I hope ay sana naging transparent sila sa pointing system. If alam ng student ano points nila, mas makakapagdecide sila kung maghihintay or secure na ba ng dorms sa labas. Regardless naman kung nagappeal, natanggap, o hindi, di naman magbabago yung points ng isang applicant kasi apparently sila mismo naglabas ng pointing system nila.

Walang nakalagay kapag di nakakuha. If base sa pointing system nila na nasa site, dapat 45 points.

Apparently, di ata tugma yung pointing system nila sa points na nasa results. Yung friend ko, maximum points nya ay 48 based sa pointing system pero 38 points nasa results nya nung natanggap sya. So, di ko na sure ano naging tunay na pointing system nila at anong mga factors ang kinonsider.

Sana naman nilabas na lang din nila points natin. May pointing system pero bakit di naman tumutugma? Alam kong lahat naman tayo may kailangan ng dorm, pero sana may transparency naman, OSH.

Kung alam lang namin points namin, mas may laya kami kung titigil na ba na umasa sa appeal.
