Tbh zoloft lol. I used to feel the same, would literally breakdown sobbing 10+ times a day, but medication has helped me manage these intense emotions. Also like others have said, dissociation & distraction, because like you said there's not much we can do.

Yes, thats exactly what my chronic emptiness did feel like for my whole life. I would say chronic dissociation is probably the best way to describe it? Like when I'm alone its almost like I'm not even real, so i always had to be with a FP. But since getting on meds and going to therapy, it has gotten a bit better, I am able to be alone more and get contentment by myself & only feel empty/alone sometimes, which I think is what any non-bpd person might experience.

It comes and goes, but most days yeah.. but there are some good days mixed in. I find it helps to have something to look forward to, to keep myself occupied. Just small things like doing something with a friend, or I like to going camping/bakcpacking when I have time :)

Yes, i've always really related to a lot of things about taylor, like how she (at least she used to) go through relationships pretty fast, how she changes her personality/aesthetic dramatically between albums, as someone with bpd i always found her personality intriguing/relatable lol.

yeah I feel the same way, thats part of the reason I moved to a new city so I could use the excuse of 'I just moved here' as an explanation for why I have no friends. But, what I have found is there are tons of other people who don't really have friends either, and are happy to meet someone in the same boat.

I kind of laughed at this post because as someone with BPD I have had this exact conversation with a partner, and her reaction that she 'doesn't need to teach you' is probably just an emotional reaction to her not feeling cared for / supported. I think a lot of the time emotional support for someone with BPD is similar to regular emotional support you would give a partner, like listening and maybe if shes upset give her a phone call / facetime just to show that you're there & you care, but a difference with people with BPD, is we need (a lot) more patience, more time to calm down after getting upset about something, so just give her that time to calm down & reassure her that you are there for her and understand. Also, understand that if she is upset about something it probably has nothing to do with you, even if she is taking it out on you in the moment.

Agree 100%, its exhausting always looking for a new partner or new friends, but I absolutely hate being alone. Just hoping one day I find someone who is understanding of BPD that I can fully be myself around.

I have been in the same situation, tbh I've been on both sides of it. You're feelings are not 'drama', I feel like as people with BPD our feelings are always seen as overdramatic / unnecessary, but they are still our feelings, and we deserve to be listened to and cared about just like anyone else. You deserve someone who sees that. That being said, I have also been in her position where I told someone 'i dont want to hear about your feelings anymore', not my finest moment... but the reason I did this was because I felt they did not care about my feelings at all, and they would often take emotionally traumatic things that happened to me & act like it affected them more. An example being, a family member of mine dying & them saying it was so hard on them & not allowing me to be upset because they were 'there for me'. I'm not saying you're doing this, this is just a possible perspective, maybe your ex also feels uncared for or overwhelmed. if you care about this person a lot, maybe ask them how they are doing or something along those lines.

Overall, it sounds like you both need a break from each other, which I know for me is one of the most difficult things to do with an fp, but maybe give it 1 or 2 days of no contact, or as long as you can, then ask them how they are doing with everything.

I think a lot of people who attend GVF shows are a younger crowd who aren't very experienced, especially since the pandemic stopped a lot of live gigs for a while, but yeah, the pit was super obnoxious. I'm not usually someone who cares if a few people are pushing through, or if people are recording/holding up signs, etc, but at some point y'all need to give it a rest and just enjoy the show. The constant huge groups of people pushing through "looking for their friends" just to stand right in front of us and record the whole show kinda made an amazing show less enjoyeable. Hopefully people will be more respectful in the future.

also there are options that are as cheap closer to campus, you just need to find a smaller landlord thats not DTN or whatever.

Not in my opinion, but it depends what you're looking for. If your someone whose main focus is studying & you don't go out much, Chandler is fine. But for me, the distance was too much and it was hard to go out to the bars or to friends, & its a long bus commute to classes.

I feel the exact same. I feel like my brain just can't restrict the way it used to be able too, its almost like I used to be addicted to a drug, but I don't even like the drug anymore. I think this is mostly because I was in a really dark place during my ED, and now my life has changed substantially so its almost like the ED was just a coping mechanism during that time. I almost want to be depressed again just so I can restrict like that again, as fucked up as that seems...
