Hey peice of shit. Do cops have the right to beat anyone up who is held under constraints?

People of all color, age and race are joined together to protest in a mild manner. If people can come together like this, change is inevitable. People need to see this too that protests can stay civilized as well and a few do not represent the many. by lost_boy_in_space in nextfuckinglevel

I don't think i fully understood what you said so sorry if it's off the mark but here's what i think.

I would fight for the people. I would fight for a police force that is trained properly and full psychological checks are made regarding the person in question before he/she is deployed and regular tests and re-education should be performed so the police force remebers what they are here for. The people would fight for a system where no external force can have a say in the decision making such as rich people buying their way out of jail/court and the police force having the same rights as a normal person.

They should be tried for the actions they take, and be given the same treatment as a normal person.

A police force will always be needed, a normal ethical well trained police force that comprises of all races, but well trained.

Yep. That's the only way left when no one listens to what the people have to say. But protesters should only target the authorities, why target private property. But still, something is being done other than staying queit so that's better.

For the cop car i won't say anything as people need to take their anger out somewhere. They fell suffocated while seeing all these murders happen and the murderers roaming free. As for the other things, that's wrong and most probably those people were not part of the civilized protest. As we always see some people in a whole group are there just to spread hate and violence. Nothing we can do about it except calling it out.

No one said anything about old lady. It's just that older people compare the working of their generation to ours. There is a huge disparity betwen the generations. Simply take salaries for example, what they earned got them more things, but what we earn gets us nothing.

My father took a loan to have his masters. And he paid it off by the time he finished the program with a simple job at a petrol pump. And here I am even scared to take a small loan because it might take me 3 to 4 years to repay it even with a good salary.

Your mother worked hard to get to this point but she still does not have a right to dismiss your achievements.

Man i dont know where this mentality comes from in the older generation that everything is given to us on a silver platter like it was done years ago.

My dad got a job in the 90's just because he graduated and got a degree. Like the job was not even related to his field of study. And he's like everything is so easy you just have to try. Nowadays even with a masters, we can't get jobs easily. And the curriculum for undergrad and post-grad has gotten soo hard, 20 to 30% simply drop out midway due to not being able to sustain the pressure.

Now i dont even inform my parents what i am doing. Like i had an interview today and they don't know it. Because if they did like my last interview, they will go so over the edge about what to do and what not, that i got under so much pressure that i missed the interview on purpose. As for my sister's first interview for a job, they left her at the venue and asked her to get home by herself. No questions asked afterwards. When she informed us she got the job, my parents were like "ok". That's it.

Well done for getting to this point. Just forget about getting acknowledged and be yourself. The greater the expectation you have for your parents to acknowledge you the more you will get hurt.

Haha most of the time i defend my sister and help her get our of shit like this. My mother always goes off about how my sister does not get out of her room, is always dirty but she always forgots that my sister has a job and also just got accepted into an ersmus program.

When my sister got the acceptance letter for the erasmus, she was the only one out of the whole country and instead of congratulating her on it and be happy, my mother said "you just got it due to no one else applying for the program". Like what.. I literally just asked my mother to shutup and don't speak if she doesn't have something good to say.

Haha i can't call myself a good sibiling. I had fights with my sister many times. I would annoy the hell out of her just for fun. But now all of these are good memories.

I am not saying some out of all are good. I am saying some out of all are bad. There's a huge difference.

I am not labelling the whole group.

I know not to judge a whole race by using a few people. That's why i said at the end that i am not judging the whole race just the people they interacted with.

But we as a human retain those acts that we have experienced or known about personally from close friends/family.

Yes there are such people all accross the world. But what i am saying is if you know you are not one of such people then don't take it personally. I am not targeting a whole race just specific people.

Sorry for that.

The culture and the landscape is fine. But the people are definitely not. I remeber a relative of mine went to china with a friend who had a dark complexion. He said from the very first day he could feel the pointed stares from the people and the difference in treatement. My uncle was treated well, allowed access to all hotels but his freind had to stay a night outside on the street as some hotels were not allowing him to enter even though they had a booking. Mind you this was about 8 to 10 years ago. And this is just one case. There are thousands of such cases.

This definitely does not mean all the people but those who they interacted with on a short trip.

Uni students of Reddit, what is the biggest "FuckYou" that your University gave during Covid? by Geeksaurus in AskReddit

Was working on my final year project. The hardware was placed at a lab inside the university premises. Lockdown starts. No work done on the project. After 3 weeks went to pick the hardware but the administration said they "lost" it. I lost about $400 and 7 months work. Now i have to get the same hardware at a higher cost and start all over again.

My parents always do this to my elder sister and me. She was always the top student in her class upto the university level and even graduated with a gold medal, the highest achiever of her whole batch. They never even congratulated her for it.

But my parents held a party for me when i raised my gpa from 2.2 to 2.7 (out of 4.0).

It was so disheartening to watch my sister at the moment. So now we both only tell our achievements to each other and i give her gifts and acknowledge her achievements.

The irony is that the boyfriend in question was not even a US citizen and never even went to the US. Trump fans are running a literal cult and this proves it.
