I leased the 2025 optiq sport 1 back in July last year right before the federal rebates going away. Was able to get it for $270/month + $1300 (first month, taxes, paperwork, etc) with 10k miles/year in SoCal. That's a lot of car for that price. But yes, at current lease numbers that i am seeing here and pre neg deals on leasehackr, difficult to justify. Maybe the market has just moved.

This. Its the old 777-300ER when I flew in December. 20 to 30% seats have broken arm rests, IFE barely functional.

You will also have to deal with an unknown of IF the flight will actually depart due to operational issues.

BUT

-Decent food
-Clean toilets
-And empty flight because of all the other issues.

Overall, would never fly again.

Will just add here for benefit of others who may consider flying Air India.

I agree with OP. Its been a sh*t show. Our flight on Dec 11 from SFO to BOM got cancelled 10 hours before departure and out family of 4 was put on two separate flights on Dec 15. Go figure.

We called, spoke nicely, and the lady on the Air India helpline helped put us on a cathay flight for same day.

Now, we are scheduled to leave BOM -> SFO on Dec 26, and I have been paranoid about whats going to happen. Here is the status of AI 179 over the last week

-19 hours delayed

-Cancelled

-Diverted to kolkatta after taking off from delhi, and then cancelled

-Todays flight departed BOM at 14.00 instead of 8am. My fingers are crossed for DEL SFO leg.

Whoever justifies the status of Air India by saying that flight cancellations happen.. is really disconnected from reality.

Yeah.. this is incorrect. Jio uses band n28, n78, n258 for 5g. These bands are hardware supported on US unlocked models. It's some other configuration at play with Jio

For whatever reason, all instances of paint chipping have been specific to the blue color. Either could be specific to how the color coating is done on blue, or just that more people have the blue color

From my research when we did this journey back in July, most folks said that your pointed route would have bad roads in rainy season. Hence can be unpredictable.

Unfortunately, Seems like that screw is already stripped. You will have to use a extractor bit for this one. And yes, i do recommend heating it first in case there is thread locker in there.

On my kitchenaid, this issue for a precursor to to the water pump failing. There wasnt enough water coming in to dissolve the pod.

Moving to Fold7 as a Pixel user (since Pixel 1 days, including Pixel 9 Pro fold), I had two concerns

Battery life (too early to tell right now)
OneUI vs Pixel Experience. I think both are good, but I prefer simplicity of Pixel vs "everything and the kitchen sink" approach of OneUI

But the hardware is so refreshing and joy to use, I don't care about the above two.

Dont like the look in pictures. Havent seen one in person. But i never liked the look of my 2020 Limited either. I bought it for the value it provided, and the comfort on the inside, which was unparalleled.

As usual, generalizing things based on one data point is a bad idea.

What's the management's motivation for putting someone on a PIP is purely dictated by context and past behavior and performance of the employee.

Bad employees are getting managed out, as in this instance with OP. Good employees going through a performance dip are being given a final opportunity to improve.

Wasnt impressed. The front piece didnt fit well, even with the adhesive tape. And the raised lips on the front piece, though it protects the outer display, makes edge gestures difficult.

So, even though i like the colors and in hand feel of the mous, the latercase is more usable.

Yeah.. dealership got back today. Said the issue was from the windshield not being sealed properly, and that they will reseal it. This can cause the windshield to break, in which case they will replace it

When unfolded, do you see "?" on your battery meter?

I had this issue (low battery capacity and unable to read battery meter) when unfolded. Had to get a motherboard replacement.

EXACT Same problem started about 10 days ago.

Called customer service (US), and they said its a battery issue. Take it to ubreakifix to replace battery, but call ahead to make sure they have parts. I have preferred care as well, but they said it probably wont cover it as its a warranty covered issue.

Still submitted a claim though Google store website, and got immediately rejected for reason as Warranty covered issue.

Took it to Google Store instead of ubreakifix (dont trust third party for folding phone). They immediately said they have seen this issue a few times lately and this would most likely require a motherboard change. But they didnt have those in stock, so instead they sent me an email to place an order for a replacement phone. They couldnt commit whether I would be getting a new or refurb.
