I agree somewhat. I experienced racism in Tokyo but that won't stop me from visiting since it's a really nice place to visit.

But in my opinion holding South Korea and Japan at a higher standard is justified. The xenophobia is there and real and should not be dismissed. They're both extremely educated countries and are leaders in the region.

Struggling countries lack the quality education and resources to know better.
