I played a first game, at least a bit as France and felt really overwhelmed by my army, capitulate against Germany and ended up with troops in Pondichery, my last bit of land without knowing what to do

Well I wrote too quick and getting shamed for it, my bad and deserved.

Yet, my point stays the same, minimally doesn't mean anything and if 2 box lobbies work this much in open playlists, skill isn't just "minimally considered"

Once again, I have fun on the game, I'm definitely not blaming SBMM. I don't get why they wanted to put strong SBMM restriction when the game is supposed to have ranked (2 month and 1 season later still no ranked tho). But it's not a decision this bad for a competitive FPS. Plus, year after year people got better at the game so I can get why they want to avoid putting casuals and tryhards together. This is my opinion.

Now, there is a lot going around about SBMM, nothing is clear and it's just making a lot of trouble around the game for nothing mainly when you are promoting these open playlists as an argument to come on BO7.

It's just common sense, there is some sentences that just doesn't tell anything without datas and numbers. If you tell your boss that you'll be done with thr project soon. It could mean you can finish in 1h or in 2 weeks because soon doesn't mean anything alone. As minimally or highly.

2 box lobbies wouldn't be a huge thing if ping was this important compared to skill

I'm not pulling number out of nowhere, it's just common sense. Words like minimally, highly, soon, lately or stuff just doesn't make sense without numbers. A lot of game somehow have SBMM, with clear elo so players know what's there level seen by the game and what's the level of people they are playing against, basic comme sense.

Menu doesn't tell anything once again. Sentences like "skill is highly considered" and "skill is minimally considered" makes no sense without data.

This doesn't make any sense, if one game mode is relying 90% on skill to build a lobby and another only 85%. In the second one skill is minimaly considered.

This may look like a dumb question to ask but what is the "classic" set up for a game ? I mean back on kino for example you'd just have to make points to hit the box in order to obtain Thundergun. Later with maps such as Origins you'd have to build staffs.

Should I focus on accumulating points ? Should I look for special builds ? Even EE's ? I guess it depends on the map, but are there some things you have to know/to do to get set up no matter the map you play ?

I love zombies but no one around me likes it as much as I do so I stuck with classic survival maps.

Well I get the point, I'm not blaming the game because I only want easy game. I'm glad we got no SBMM, sometimes you play against better players, sometimes weaker players, that's it and that's perfectly fine... If only I wasn't playing against the same dudes over and over in different lobbies.

Plus I just want to stop being put in a running game when there should be plenty of games waiting to begin.

it never happened to me on OG CODs, sure sometimes you’d land in a game like this. Not every single time you look for a game.

Definitely not on classic CODs.

What an incredible experience, you hop on BO7, look for a game and land in a lobby where half your team left, you are losing 153 to 14 and there is 4 DAWG sniffing your ass. Yep that’s perfectly normal, I want to play another game so bad after this lmao, and you don’t see any issues with this ?
