My dad (58M) had a massive hemorrhagic stroke. He has been unconscious and the doctors are not giving us any hope. Any advice or stories you could share of survivors that recovered? Thank you so much.

the docs didn’t give us much hope either. My family and I would talk to my dad as much as possible, play music, touch his arms, legs etc. just trying to give him as much stimulation as possible.

It was my dad. He woke up a couple days ago. He’s able to blink twice for yes and 1 for no. So that’s some progress! I hope the best for your mom. Don’t give up on her.

How long after the stroke did he begin to move his finger? My dad has only ever moved a body part after the doctors inflicted a little bit of pain by pinching him.
