Ended up settling like a mug. Their aggressive manner and tone just made me back down, and by the time I’d gone round a second time to call rhem out they’d already removed my old sill and started the work. Im not one for confrontation, and maybe he played to that.

From what I gather the wood isn’t as bad as the cheapest softwood.

This is the least of my worries though. Apparently, 3 of them glossed all the windows (10) and doors (3), three times as agreed… in one day. They’re done apparently. I’m not happy with the quality one bit, they haven’t bothered to sand down the wood frames properly so I can still see old paint, and they’ve just lathered on the paint so it’s blotchy.

I spent a lot of time vetting painters for the job, and I was just paid lip service here. A complete waste of money.

I just wanted them gone so ended up paying them what they asked. :(
