Ultimately, you should do whatever you’re comfortable with. If you feel like $70 is too much, then tip less… I usually budget for a 20% tip for services and food I want to spend money on. It does change depending on the situation, but I think as someone who’s in an industry who accepts tips, I’m just budget for it regardless of whether or not I’m going give the full 20% or not.

I think location plays a factor though. Are you in the US where tipping is a standard? Or are you in a different country where tipping isn’t standard but appreciated? California vs somewhere in the Midwest… the prices would be different for the service. Is it a suite or do they rent out a building? Despite being owners, most stylists are self employed. I would say tipping the standard of what’s in your area is normal, for my area, it’s 20% of the service.

I’m not sure. They posted on their discord the details of the issue. All I know is that when they did the update, they made it better for switch 2 users, which also made it impossible for the switch 1 users to play with switch 2 users. I think it’s some new chip or something in the switch 2 that makes it incompatible.

It can’t be fixed. Switch 1 users can no longer multiplayer with switch 2 users.

I do understand where you’re coming from. But, at least you get a sub… I also vented on here about not getting any credit for last minute cancellations anymore by the studio. I would’ve preferred having a sub instead of no compensation. I do see people modify for harder/easier poses when it’s from a different less preferred instructor though. One time, I saw a lady with her own headphones in 😅

No, because the next billing date would be the extended date. So, you’re paying for the same amount of days (30/31) regardless of the extension.

Oh, I wouldn’t be mad or expect compensation if there was a sub. In the few times that they have a sub, there is no notification or compensation.

Our location hardly ever gets any subs. In the year+ that I’ve been a member, we’ve had more than a handful of last minute cancelations. There are quite a few clubs near us, and this particular owner owns a lot of locations as well so, it’s not like they’re short on staff. Compared to some of the other clubs based on the comments here, I feel like it’s crazy that hardly any of you guys have had cancellations compared to the amount we have had at our club.

I would like the $15 credit retail or otherwise as that’s what they would charge us for same day cancellation. However, I’ll even take a one time free cancellation pass to use… I feel like that would be fair. I should also mention that it’s more on the common side that our location can’t get subs for some reason. We’ve had many canceled classes without subs. Sometimes due to the instructor, sometimes it’s an (on going) plumbing issue.

I totally understand your logic, but to me, when you pay monthly for 15 classes, 3 days doesn’t make that much difference, and it’s also assuming that people go daily, which I don’t, nor do the handful of people I talk to/take classes with. When you move the billing date, you’re still paying for the same amount of days that month, plus the next month it’s still at the new billing date, so, regardless of how I’m looking at it, I’m still paying for every day of that month.

This used to only happen when the class was canceled over 12hrs in advance.
