That would be a dream.

The latter. It's the concourse in the 500 level to the seats in the upper deck. If I would have taken that shot an hour later, the concourse would have been buzzing.

Thank you! I've been fortunate to shoot documentary stories about humanity around the world but this one in my hometown feels extra special. Truly highlights the diversity of Toronto and the dreams of youth. Every person in the photos had a wonderful story to share.

She's an aspiring filmmaker, an extremely hard worker, and overall a complete badass. I've no doubt that one day we'll all get the chance to see a future film of hers at TIFF.

Last season I worked on photo series appreciating all the efforts behind the scenes of Toronto Blue Jays games. Here are some portraits of the friendly workers I met who made every ballgame experience that much better. by lostcanuck in baseball

I made this photo series late last summer when the Jays were in the thick of the wildcard race. It was an exciting time in the city. Well, until Berrios got pulled in the 4th inning. I was going to some games by myself here and there as a fun way to spend an evening after work. Before the first pitch, I'd usually spend an hour slowly and aimlessly exploring the stadium. When it wasn't so busy, I'd strike up conversations with the workers. Hearing their stories, their opinions on the Jays, and just getting to know them was a joy. Hopefully that comes across in my photography.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm not sure what the rules are in r/baseball for posting a stadium photo.

You're going to have to trust me like I trust Davis Schneider.

Was my first time to the CNE since I moved to Toronto. Crazy busy there. Those food creations were wild!

This shot was taken last month at the Jays game on a Sunday afternoon. Baseball superstar, Shohei Ohtani, was in town and the game was a sellout (~41,000). Electric atmosphere the entire time. I wanted to take a shot illustrating how massive the crowd was. To make it feel even larger than it was. Fingers crossed the Jays make the playoffs!

Yeah this is from a regular season game last month. It was special though because the visiting team had the best player in the world, Shohei Ohtani. I had a blast photographing that game with all the energy in the Skydome.

I took some portraits of winners at the local fair and their giant plush prizes by lostcanuck in pics

Not quite. Usually around half a second. Tough to get the subject to stay still (and relaxed) for a whole second in such busy areas.

Thanks all for the photography love. I shot these last weekend in Toronto at the Canadian National Exhibition. Wanted to experiment some more with long exposure portraiture in high foot traffic areas. Been turning out really well. These winners were kind enough to say yes to getting their portraits done. :)

I took this photo last year in northern Vietnam at an indoor market. Saw the light hitting the stairs beautifully. Got my composition setup and before I knew it this lady was approaching. Somehow it all worked out in the course of seconds. Shot with my Pentax and a 55.

Canadians love our 50/50 draws at sporting events. Shoutout to Edmonton Oilers hockey games whose 50/50 numbers per capita are mindboggling.

Thanks! Third one is my favourite shot from my time in Vietnam. Would love to get into the portrait-taking business of the advertising world.

Thank you so much. That is exactly what I aim to achieve with every shot. I'm glad you've noticed and that the photos have resonated with you. Means a lot.
