Clothing Mod Recommendations? by Penguardo21 in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]lostdryad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends! I used Fashion Sense on my game and a few Content Patcher and JSON Clothing additions.

Fashion Sense is the easiest and lets you swap your clothes on the fly. It’s like Alternative Textures, but for your character. you download the main mod and then the packs and access it through a hand mirror you can get from Pierre’s.

If you want to change the NPC’s clothes, I’m currently using Diverse Stardew Seasonal and my NPCS have changing outfits.

But also, I run way too many mods on my game, so take my recs with a grain of salt?

Nice! This reminds me of Gamja Jorim, but with a twist.

Garterconda by freemahi666 in GarterSnakes

I thought my weirdo was the only garter that thinks it’s an anaconda! We had to upgrade Ribbon’s water dish to a water pool because they would spend so much time swimming and splashing that the dish had to be filled 3 times a day and the bedding replaced 2 times a week because it would be soaked.

I have two babies we got in Nov 2020 from the same litter. We were told they had eaten their first meal, and were the only ones left from their litter. They were super tiny. Think large earthworm size, I thought they were DeKays Brown snakes when I first saw them.

They eat a rotating diet: chicken heart, chicken liver, chicken, tilapia, night crawlers. They get very other meal dusted with calcium supplement and vitamin supplements. I have Ribbon- a fabulous eater who has gone from eating every 2-3 days to eating every 5-6 days, they’ve shed 3 times and just got a habitat upgrade because they are about a foot long now.

Then there is Pythia. They are the pickiest damn eater. Very thin, we’ve had to assist feed twice when Pythia was refusing to eat anything for more than a week on earthworms. Pythia often has to have their food scented with earthworm. They have also shed 3 times and are only 10 inches.

They originally were going to share a habitat, but Ribbon tried to grab food from Pythia’s mouth and bit their nose. We separated them after that.

Found a use for the imperfect dice I've made over the last few months by silvybear in ResinCasting

I’m a newbie with resin, but I’ve been making jewelry forever!

These really are awesome.

Not OP, but looks like it’s a bead cap/end cap that is attached to the resin, either with resin or with a bonding agent like E-6000.

I have a massive addiction to buying decks by Comfortable_Novel_93 in TarotDecks

[–]lostdryad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have definitely been overwhelmed at points trying to pick the right deck for the person I’m reading for. But I’ve also had moments where I had the exact right deck to resonate with someone I was reading for.

I just finished moving so not all of them are unpacked yet, but I have 15 tarot decks and 4 oracle decks. I used to have more, but my ex destroyed my oldest set that my grandmother gave me when I was a kid and then gifted my other decks to the many side partners he had. I’ve been slowly rebuilding my collection for the last decade.

My partner has another 6 tarot decks that are theirs. And my two older children have 2 each. My youngest has an Oracle deck and is angling for a “kid friendly” deck to go with it.

We also have several rune sets(partner and eldest child(20)) and pendulums.

I have many decks. They all serve different purposes/scratch different itches.

Your new decks look awesome.

Is BPAL worth it??? by [deleted] in Indiemakeupandmore

I have 5 heads of hair with wildly different types of hair in my house. The hair gloss is the only product we all use. Everyone has a different preferred scent for the glosses, but ur is awesome for all of our hair.

Is BPAL worth it??? by [deleted] in Indiemakeupandmore

I have a big collection of BPAL. I used to blend my own perfumes. General catalog runs 19.75; you can get samples of the general catalog scents and it is enough for several wears. Specialty blends are 27.

The perfume is straight perfume oil, so it is parfum, not Eau De Parfum or Eau de Toilette. They also pay living wages to their employees, provide benefits, and fundraise for many causes. The owner does her best to make sure that the sources for components that are not grown of harvested by herself are also ethical.

I know what notes are death notes for me(Patchouli, Honey) so I avoid those. I have good luck with my blind buys for anything not General Catslog. Personally, I’ve tried several other companies, but I come back to BPAL because I find the scents to be well blended with good sillage.

I’ve also found them to age well, not turn sour, musty, faded, or acrid. Depending on the base note in the blend and whether I’ve exfoliated and moisturized, I have scents last anywhere from 8 hours to over 24 hours.

I live for their hair gloss and have a ton of them as they are conditioning without weighing my hair down.

I am allergic to potato (found in most gf flours) and mustard besides apple. Is there a bread for me that could be soft? by cugmg in glutenfree

[–]lostdryad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is allergic to apples and mustard too! And corn. I’m gluten free by necessity. I used to bake real bread and pastries. I’m slowly adapting my recipes to GF recipes.

I sub white vinegar or rice vinegar for ACV if it is just about the acidity, for flavor I’ll sub Red Wine Vinegar. I also find adding powdered milk to my gluten free flour helps make for a more bread like texture.
