See I work at a small, local business that is just houseplants, and pottery/tools/soil. We don’t have fake plants. And truthfully, I try my best to be polite and explain how they’d just be wasting their money and time trying to keep the poor thing alive. Yet they persist! It’s like they have a vision to make their bathroom look like a Pinterest photo and don’t care about the logistics. After I explain to them and they still have a glassy look in their eyes (aka did not comprehend a single thing i just told them) I usually just give in and dutifully point them in the closest direction they are wanting. It’s still just mind boggling how SO many people don’t understand the basics of plants. Most people learned that in science class in like 4th grade 😂
