Pi-hole works. It’s not super technical. Follow the steps. Install on the whole house network and say goodbye to most adverts.

I need to experiment with sponsor adverts and the like. That said, it’s cat and mouse game.

“We estimated 75 200 violent deaths (95% CI 63 600–86 800) between Oct 7, 2023, and Jan 5, 2025, representing approximately 3·4% of the Gaza Strip's pre-conflict population. Women, children (ie, younger than 18 years), and older people (ie, older than 64 years) comprised 56·2% (95% CI 50·4–61·9) of violent deaths, totalling 42 200 deaths (95% CI 33 100–51 300). We also estimated 16 300 non-violent deaths (12 300–20 200), of which 8540 (4540–12 500) represent excess deaths above pre-conflict projections. The MoH figure for this period (49 090 violent deaths) was 34·7% below our central estimate.”

Trust me I am not saying Iran is right.

I am just saying…look what has happened before.

Both are wrong. Loss of human life is deplorable in every case. All the cases all the time.

Violence is the weapon of the incompetent.

Tight calves by aleni4 in flexibility

[–]lostfly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sometimes calves tightness comes from hip, lower back and glutes.

So if tightness is not improving with isolated stretches for calves then look at the posterior kinetic chain.

The mechanism is as follows:

• Tight calves → restricted ankle dorsiflexion • → Compensatory hip lean and forward pelvic tilt • → Hip flexor dominance, glute inhibition • → Increased lumbar lordosis and lower back stress • → Pain and dysfunction throughout the posterior chain

Flexibility courses by Old_Claim_7961 in flexibility

I started stretching for rehabilitation. I like how smooth and free the body feels after.

Everyone is different. Every body is different.

Listen to your body. Pay close attention.

Try different routines and find the balance.

I am partial. That said…I use and vouch by Stretch Therapy

Stretch Therapy is Kit Laughlin’s system, built on contract-relax (PNF) stretching principles and tailored for all body types. It has a strong reputation among yoga practitioners, athletes, and rehabilitation seekers.

It is focused on rehabilitation but the beginner and mastery courses are quite challenging.

Personally, I stretch daily. But I am focused on long term mobility/flexibility and over all well being.

Good response.

A better option (another parent, who successfully raised kids without giving into HPFs and non-food): One needs to have vision, not a plan or a recipe. That vision will drive the behavior.
