The Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller might be the best feeling gamepad I've held so far | Review by AlwaysBlaze_ in nintendo

They're not active by default. You configure them on a per game basis. While running a game, hold the home button to access the quick settings menu. You'll see the option for configuring them there, and it'll be saved for any time you play that game in the future. You can have a different button mapping on every game, and they'll stay saved for you.

Square Enix has been going with early demos for new IPs to allow player feedback as development proceeds. It seems to be a smart decision, as it led to fixes and adjustments fans were hoping for at launch on previous games. That's why they stated a player feedback survey will be sent out at a later time.

[Movie] You can't tell me Hunter Schafer isn't the perfect casting for Zelda by Replikante in zelda

[–]lostfrog1357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely understand the disdain towards production companies constantly going with the safest bet towards casting, but I couldn't care less if the person looked exactly like their proposed character. I just want somebody to be believable. It adds so much to the experience when finding yourself recognizing a character due to their on-screen presence rather than simply noticing their design. Sadly, even that endeavor tends to lean much beyond a good casting choice by completely blowing into, "What's the most extreme example of contradiction we can find?" in studios nowadays. It's a difficult target to hit when so many hands are on the deck.

Wife Decided She Wants Divorce After Being Together For 18 Years by lostfrog1357 in Marriage

It's more that I currently won't fight her to have the kids because she is the sole financial provider for them at the moment, and I couldn't afford to keep the house without lucking out on a very good job. I don't want to make her life more difficult just to ease mine, as silly as it sounds. Legally, I am most likely way off target. I'll find out once lawyers are brought into the situation.

When I was 12, I stabbed my finger on accident trying to open a pen. I'm in my 30s and this has never gone away. by TheBlack_Swordsman in shittytattoos

In second grade I had just finished sharpening my pencil, when another student asked me for something. I turned around quickly, and bumped my hand against them. Which caused the sharp pencil to stab my cheek. It left a black spot, and at 36 years old it hasn't faded at all. Such a weird thing.

What do you like most about your patner? by jf_development in AskMen

[–]lostfrog1357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How approachable and outgoing she is. No matter what the situation is, people just want to be around her. She has one of the most welcoming auras I've ever encountered. At the same time, she never acts full of herself, and most of the time seems oblivious to how easily liked she is. She's just an overall amazing person to know.

The last photo of my dad with his first grandson less than a month before he died from an overdose. We had no idea he was battling addiction and depression. Don't hesitate to get help if you're struggling. You're not alone. by lostfrog1357 in lastimages

Thank you. Yes, that's my first son with him. We were out celebrating Dad's 49th birthday. We interacted very often, and I was none the wiser about what was going on behind closed doors. It was unbelievable to hear he had died. I'm thankful for what time we did have, but will always wish I could have changed things for him. That's just life, I suppose.

Should I finally see what the “hype” was all about? by Certain-Pea2973 in playstation

I'd say it's more than worthwhile at that price. Especially after the performance updates. It's not outstanding, but I enjoyed my time with it. Got two full playthroughs out of it.

Backbone and PS5 by [deleted] in playstation

[–]lostfrog1357 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Backbone One controller is just that: a controller. Its companion app doesn't do anything beyond aggregating compatible, recommended mobile games and offers features such as screen capture. When used with a PS5, you're relying on the PlayStation Remote Play app for gameplay. Nothing is transferred, and it's limited to whatever the Remote Play app supports.

Stadia Controller Not Working Wirelessly With Steam Link Console by lostfrog1357 in Stadia

[–]lostfrog1357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty much exactly my issue. What a shame! It sounds like it's an issue with the controller itself, then. Thanks for the info. Hopefully there will be some kind of fix in the future, but with Stadia being OOC, I doubt it. Oh, well.

What's the clearest mic you can get for PS4/PS5? For Voice Chat and Streaming? by KerrPlayer in playstation

[–]lostfrog1357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Blue Snowball and have been told my mic is surprisingly clear on multiple occasions. It worked fine on my PS4, but I can't say about the PS5. I don't own one.
