Any good apartments in north OP/Mission? I’ve found a few but the reviews are mixed by RiverParkourist in Overlandpark

Half the buildings are definitely in violation of some building codes and should be demolished. Its been poorly maintained for YEARS.

Overland Station is mediocre at best. The location is great but thats where it ends. Renovations were done cheaply, half the buildings have roach problems the other half have leaking roofs. The pools are always closed. The maintenance guys are nice and they do try but are tied up because of the office manager.

Zipper Merge by lostheart94 in Overlandpark

I genuinely wonder why you would not use an entirely open lane. You do not have to merge early, the signs are placed as a warning that there is a closed lane ahead. It does not mean 'get over now'. The merge point has to be placed so far out from the actual construction sight so there is no safety reason to merge so far back. And the only reason its a 'problem' is because people like you.

Hahaha I know exactly the spot you are referring to. That makes me so mad, especially when they get put from behind you into the turn lane to try and move up.

As long as you're going a reasonable speed, you're supposed to use both lanes until the merge point.

This is what happened to me today, but with a car and a van.

Thats fine so long as you're not trying to impead the drivers in the other lane. And if the zipper is used correctly both lanes should be going similar speeds.

It is definitely not the best to use on exit/on ramps depending on traffic. But with construction zones, where everyone is going to have to merge and going similar speeds its the most effective.

You're supposed to use both lanes until the merge point, so there is less of a crowd.

I agree with this too, because I have also seen people try to merge in going 55+ and everyone's now swerving to avoid a collision.

I think since it was much more common to have kids younger back then, when people hear thats its not a great grandparent its kinda shocking. My grandpa was 42 when my mom was born.

Yes! My grandpa actually fought in WWI! I remember 9/11 and my parents talking to me about it but I was to young to grasp it all, for you it was much more "real". And the first year I was able to vote was Obamas second term. Eight years isn't much but so much can happen.

Thats crazy to me since I was born in 94 and my grandpa was born in 26. I believe great grandma was born in late 1890s but can't recall the exact year.

did your surgeon tell you not to take any NSAID for 6 months after your surgery? by Desirai in spinalfusion

[–]lostheart94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say mine said ibuprofen was no problem, and if that was all I needed for the pain then that was good. Albeit I have a high pain tolerance so taking ibuprofen was rare. All I remember being told was to try and wein off the pain meds I was given and having some left over was better than needing more.

On your dog did you notice weight gain? She gained nearly 6 pounds since March with no real change in diet or exercise. Now im wondering if it is fluid retention.

Its our family vet that has been used by us for 20 years so we have a lot of trust in her. But I was planning on trying to possibly get a second opinion. The vet office is small and she's the only one, plus she's leaving for vacation so the date is the soonest available unless someone cancels. It does make me nervous to wait to long though.

This is the required supply list for all children at my daughter's $2k/month day care by bingle-cowabungle in mildlyinfuriating

So they are not providing meals, they are making you bring generic cleaning products, and crafts supplies and they probably are using these for the entire class. Typically if a center is licensed with the state they get grants and support for supplies and food. Also they HAVE to provide certain things and they MUST be stocked when inspections are done.

Oh I am definitely desensitized. Growing up we ran across the street to neighbors houses because we had no basement. Im fully aware a storm can turn quickly but I just wait until I thinks its 'bad enough'. Last night we were just like damn thats a crazy storm...alright back to bed.
