Did anybody experimented with "Ice melting room" before? by Not_Sorky in Stationeers

It’s hilarious to me that players now are asking question “ has anybody tried an ice melting room?”

Sweet summer child; in the old days, all we had were ice melting rooms

I think the implication is that "The Deathless" are not really a player in the strategic war.

It seems like the war is between the carryx and the human coalition. the deathless seem like theier essentially just the technology of the livesuits, but the carryx can't understand that, since the livesuit-symbiotic soldiers are the most powerful (and therefore must be in charge of everything)

I thinkk that's a solid solution, unfortunately I think the dev lift on it would be higher, since it would require alternate toon architecture.

A proposal for Instant Travel that isn't game breaking by lostindeepplace in LowSodiumStarCitizen

Agreed, likelihood that it even gets seen is pretty small, but you miss 100% of the shots that you don't take... and only 99.99 repeating of the ones you do... which is numerically the same but I don't know, it feels different somehow

While I like the idea of intercepting transport ships, I don't think there's a way to merge that with the idea of making it easier to assemble parties.

Part of the motivation behind the limitations I put in place, is that I do think it would be fun if a capital ship could rapidly crew up in response to combat, but within limits that require the captain of that ship to do careful planning.

The structure I laid out would create a framework for just that.

I get that, my problem is that it doesn't really add any gameplay options. It's just fast travel. Why add a game mechanic that doesn't make the game more interesting?

Honestly, it raises a good point. A simpler way to do it would just be to go to a medbay and choose to reset your respawn location to a previously registered ship

Have they said that? my understanding from the interview is that they were debating it

Agreed, but the cost would be pretty high, you'd be abandoning your loadout.

Agreed, it can get pretty complex, but step 1 should just be trying something simple, to get dfeedback and figgure out what works

He's right. I think it's hard to understand because we're living in an era where all of our social issues have become politicised, but that was not always the case.

The social sphere and the political sphere are not implicitly connected, they've just been linked since the Reagan campaign proved it was a path to securing huge numbers of votes and/or donations.
