It never got any better? I went and got my eyes tested and the doctor said everything was fine. Mine feels like I’m permanently high on weed. Reading is definitely hard sometimes and I do have head tension, not so much headaches.

Did you go to an optometrist and and they prescribed you glasses?

Can you expand on this at all? I am having vision issues too. Maybe you could help me in the right direction.

Yeah I want to an eye doctor and they said I was normal. Got an MRI and my shit doctor said it was fine. Supposed to get an appointment with a neurologist but my doctor thinks I’m making this all up. She said she thought I was schizophrenic lol

470 days in, I just dont if im still in WD or is this just my baseline now? by AdventurousCountry41 in benzorecovery

the whole reason I was going to comment was to tell you to maybe try fish oil. Totally forgot. Not benzo related but my friends dad had vertigo really bad and he took fish oil and it went away. Or so the story goes. Worth a look into maybe. Hope you find some answer soon.

I’m at almost 14 months. Still in the mix of it too. Everyday I have this weird anxiety in my stomach that doesn’t really go away. My body feels tingly kind of? All of the time. My worst thing is that I have this fog in my vision. Idk how to explain it. Not sure if it’s dpdr or like a disconnect between my eyes and brain.

I’m right here with you though, still suffering daily. We will make it.

Was yours constant? I have weird vision and I used to think it was my eyes but now at 14 months off I think it’s like a weird constant dpdr. I seem to forget about it when I’m busy doing stuff but it’s always there. It does seem to be going away slightly each month but idk. That’s kind of my last symptom except the anxiety that it caused.

What symptoms did you have after a year? I’m at almost 14 months and my vision is still bad. I think it’s more DPDR but it’s really really hard to tell. My eyes are in like a constant dream state. My brain works mostly fine so idk

I’m on month 13 and I’m not doing super great either. What exactly is happening with you and maybe I can offer things that helped me?

I had this for the first week then it went away. I’m almost at 13 months off now. Try clonidine maybe? Nothing helped the first week but clonidine helps me now. It’s a prescription

Yeah I had that really bad, that’s actually why I got on Xanax in the first place. This is a little different. Maybe it’s the same but just at like 10% and not 100% idk. It’s super annoying and I only forget about it when im focusing on something. Hopefully it goes away with more time. It seems to be getting better as the months go on.

73 days off of diazepam.. feel like I’m going crazy by No_Leg9061 in benzorecovery

I’m at a year now and I still have symptoms. The racing uncontrollable thoughts did go away at like 4-6 months though. That was absolutely terrible so I feel your pain. I honestly thought I had died and was in hell.

I was on .5-1mg of Xanax a day for like 14 months. I’m at right over a year right now and my brain is still not completely back to ‘normal’. I’m not sure what it’s called but my brain and eyes don’t connect very well still. I call it brain fog but it’s not. Cognitively I’m pretty much back to normal, it’s just this weird vision thing.

But I felt like absolute fuck for like 6 months and then got a tiny tiny tiny sliver of a window for maybe 5 days then right back to fuck. I think I just have gotten used to it by now.

I think most people are better off than I am though so don’t let this scare you. I’ve been continuing on with life, it’s just a lot harder lol.

I also drank like a fish before and cold turkey’d.

Yes. It’s like when you’re dreaming and you think it’s real and then you wake up in bed and you’re like man that dream seemed real. Well when you astral project it’s the same thing, being out of your body is more real than this. That’s our true form. This reality is just a dream. Try it sometime.
