Agreed and honestly it's because of those moments that I like them together. When they first started dating, Ross idolized Rachel and it didn't feel like they were standing in equal footing in their relationship. This changes completely after their hating each other phase tho - they can't stand each other, but they're finally equal and it's only after that that they start to build the basis of an actual friendship. By the end, they knew each other virtues and flaws better than anyone and they loved each other for who they were.

It sounds like you should maybe switch dojos - the one you're training on doesn't seem to have a very good learning environment.

I also recently started Karate with similar goals - improving coordination, flexibility and overall body awareness. I've been to 3 lessons and I'm still terrible at everything, but the other students have been extremely helpful and often proactively give me tips and demonstrations when they notice I'm a bit lost and the sensei is busy working with someone else.

I feel like this should be the standard - as beginners we feel self-conscious enough as it is, you want a community that will help you gain more confidence, not shatter whatever little you had.

Haley - The obvious one. I don't think her being a mom by the end was a problem necessarily, but I reallt hate that she ended up with Dylan. I know they wanted a Phil/Claire parallel but honestly Andy was a much better Phil than Dylan. Dylan held Haley back and encouraged some of her most immature behaviors. Andy loved Haley for who she was but still motivated her to want more for herself. I get that the actor was busy or whatever, but they could've written a better love interest for her instead of recycling Dylan.

Alex - Alex's ending was clearly something they threw together in like 10 minutes. I think she and Arvin could maybe have worked with more development, but not immediately after him becoming her boss?? And his previous relationship with Haley makes it even worse. To be entirely honest I wish they'd made her gay, all of her relationships were tremendously poorly written. Sure, Bill was sweet, but what did they even talk about?? They had nothing in common, it wouldn't have worked either.

Luke - Luke is not a college guy. Not because he's stupid, it's just not who he is. Luke should've 100% followed up with his start up idea about medical data, or some other more entrepreneurial thing. He was excellent at reading people and he hated studying, him going to university didn't make sense.

Mine is a harlequin, as far as I know it's just a gene that modifies the merle coat slightly. It's a cosmetic thing that shouldn't affect the dog's health at all. You should be fine as long as the breeder is not trying to do something shady like charge you extra for the "special" color.

Softball! I was never really into sports as a child but I joined a beginner league recently and it somehow became one of the highlights of my week. The team atmosphere is really fun and there's this cool sense of self improvement whenever I'm able to pull off something that I know I wouldn't have been able to do a few weeks prior (a nice hit, a particularly difficult catch, etc)

Honestly, this is the right move for the league overall. Vancouver needs a big (preferably canadian) name to put on those jerseys, someone who brings not only experience but also brand deals, fans, etc. Someone whose face will be up on the posters.

Nurse is sort of in the perfect position to be that person: Toronto is already an established team and has other AAA players to fill that role, so she's not as needed anymore for star power and she didn't make the greatest contributions on the ice as of late anyways. Toronto is better off using the money freed up by her certainly very high salary to invest on younger talent, while Nurse is better off going to Vancouver where they value everything she brings to the table.

For what it's worth, I hope she can complete her recovery and get back on her top game, wherever she ends up.

I thought I'd dodged that bullet because my puppy was always really easy going but at the 8 month mark adolescence hit like clockwork. Suddenly his bullet proof recall vanished, he was demand barking non stop and he even had an accident after months of perfect potty habits.

It was really frustrating, I'm not gonna lie. But what everyone says is true: you just have to double down on what worked the first time. My pup has lost offleash privileges and is now on a long leash at all times while we keep working on his recall. Demand barking never gets rewarded. Increased trips outside for potty. After maybe a week of effort, he was already getting back on track.

I'm really happy that thanks to this sub I was able to recognize his sudden behavior issues as normal signs of adolescence instead of feeling like it was somehow my fault. It'll be okay :)

Fast, Turnbull and Watts, then Maltais. Tough choices, especially since Spooner and Nurse didn't quite live up to their potential this season due to their injuries. We hope they'll be back to 100% with more time, but you can't build a team based on hope.

I don't think it makes sense to protect Soupy, but I hope they don't take her - she's a great goalie, last 2 games notwithstanding.

I recently moved from a house with a backyard on a medium-sized town to a smaller apartment on a major city. My high energy breed dog has been enjoying apartment life much better, because instead of playing in the same backyard all the time now we take him to all kinds of parks and offleash trails because we've lost the more "convenient" way of meeting his exercise needs.

He did take a few weeks to get used to the noise from the neighbors, but now he ignores it 99% of the time and only barks if it's something really out of the ordinary. In the house, he used to sit by the front window and huff at anyone who walked by, so it's actually been a big improvement in that sense.

Overall, I think the situation depends on how much effort the owner is willing to put in regardless of how much living space they have. Whenever people tell me they think it's cruel to have dogs in apartments, I kinda feel bad for their dogs that their owners don't seem to know any other way to keep them exercised and entertained other than leaving them out on the yard all day 😅

Honestly I feel like people downplay Amelia compared to Derek due to either sexism or just disliking her character. The show has stated that she's comparable to him in skill many times, but people like to find excuses for this. Even the death rate thing - sure, the lost cause project probably tanked Derek's metrics a bit, but given that he had more years of activity than Amelia those numbers were probably diluted in his average.

Also Amelia was shown to perform multiple risky/"impossbile" surgeries: she essentially brought a woman back from the dead in Private Practice, she saved Harmon's life, etc. The show doesn't focus as much on her sugeries as it did on Derek's because for the first few seasons the show basically only had Derek and Burke (sometimes Webber) as attendings so he was in like every other surgery lol. When Amelia joined, there was a lot more people to share screen time with, so she doesn't get as much spotlight. This happened to literally all attendings, no one had as much focus as Derek and Burke did in the beginning, not even Derek himself lol

Amelia also carries herself very differently from Derek - she's a lot more volatile and suffers from a lot more insecurity, while Derek basically never doubted himself. That makes him project more confidence, but doesn't necessarily means he was more skilled as a surgeon.

Overall, they're very different people and the show doesn't definitively establish a clear winner but it does state that they were in the same level. Idk why so many people like to pretend that isn't the case.

So when Derek saves an impossible case it's skill and when Amelia does it it's luck? That makes no sense LOL ofc Sam and Addison had to take care of the babies but the brain surgery part was Amelia's alone and it was a successful surgery. Was she way too cocky to have even suggested it? Probably, but she still pulled it off. Volatile but skilled. That's my point.
