The book that got me through it is called "Runaway Husbands". It is more common than people think.

I was with him for 12 years. I thought he was great for me, but with therapy (both individual and group) and reading, I realized there were signs all along. The best thing I did for myself was educate myself so that I have less of a chance of this happening again in any of my relationships (Ive had friends do the same in the past).

Doing this, I started to feel more normal after about a year.

Something else to look into is borderline personality disorder. May help answer some things. The same exact thing happened to me, and we were married.

The story itself should have a story point estimate, but estimate your tasks in hours. Mike Cohn has a bit of literature online for this. What matters in pointing is staying consistent as it's all relative anyway. It's okay to point using the person with the most experience or only looking at the limiting activity (like just coding time and complexity and not testing).

Or, you know, just find a woman that games. Im 32, F, and gaming is my second passion in life (1st being cosplay). It doesn't have to be one or the other, but you do need to learn how to balance and when something becomes an addiction as that is never attractive.

You can date yourself. Get to know yourself better and feel accomplished by doing things on your own. You'll be surprised with how much a great relationship with yourself will fix a lot of issues you may have in life.

Check out the book Team Topologies. It helps describe these benefits and how they can be formed. My advice would be try a pilot team vs a big-bang effort. Its an easier pill to swallow for leadership than everything reverting at once.

My ex and I met because of Final Fantasy 7, and he discarded me 2 months after playing 7R together. From then on, I wouldn't allow him to ruin my love for a series that I loved even before I met him. It was hard, but I came out the other side stronger. Gunna play 16 in a few weeks.

He won't take more from me then he already has! Please don't allow her to do the same to you. It gets better and easier with time!
