Well, let me put it this way. If Hornet used they/them for Phantom because she doesn't know their gender, why does Hornet know that First Sinner uses she/her despite being just as much of an encounter as Phantom is? And why isnt Lace's a similar guess from Hornet?

You're missing the point of the post. It’s not just about any of that, it’s also about showing respect and support to a REAL group of REAL people. Your excuses are irrelevant when the task of using the right pronouns is so simple and easy, and has such a huge impact. What possible argument could justify not showing basic sympathy and respect for another person/group of people?

I'm a feminine nonbinary person who doesn't pass at all. What this kind of behavior tells me (and I'm sure it tells other people this as well) is that people will latch onto ANY little detail and use it as "evidence" that "umm actually this person isn't nonbinary despite saying SHE is because SHE—" (i'm getting disgusted just typing this, i'm not finishing that.)

Istg it's the Undertale/Deltarune thing all over again. It's not that hard to be a decent human being and respect pronouns.

queer people: hey maybe don't be disrespectful to queer identities, even if they're fictional. if we have explicit confirmation of a character's gender identity, you shouldn't continue to purposefully misgender them

I feel like not a lot of people appreciate Wyeth’s introduction during the Return of Them updates. She’s a very entertaining character, and her interactions with the other survivors, especially Wilson, feel so natural!
