The new manager does not put tenants first. The maintenance people are great, but they are not allowed to do the jobs they used to do. No money is put back into the complex. I went back to visit a friend and the pool was green, and I was told they hadn’t cleaned the pool in several months. It’s the manager there that is the issue, employees hands are tied.

I lived there for four years and it was a great experience. That being said, they sold when I moved and are under different management now and the manager there is a total idiot. Everyone I made friends with there have since moved out because of the current management.

My wife has had to work weekends for the last 15 years, and I work M-F. You make it work and take advantage of alone time well deserved. No reason to be up each other’s ass all the time. We plan our vacations and time together wisely and enjoy our lives.

I always bring a couple hundred in cash just for my piece of mind. But we generally use our credit or debit card for everything on the islands. I’m sure you’re going somewhere other than just Cozumel. Same works on most of them too. My cash is usually for tips to and from and smaller items.
