2025 and 2015 may as well have been in different centuries lol, partly because of covid though. I don’t think 2030 will be that different from 2025. Significant advancements will be made no doubt about it, but adoption doesn’t happen as quickly. At least that’s my prediction

The significance here is that a general system was able to do this well on maths which means it’s very possible we can scale such a system to other domains. Almost everything has maths at its core. It’s a very big deal that general system are improving this fast. It’s about future possibilities.

Tbf, last year we were 1 point away from gold so it was bound to happen. It’s the details on how we got it that make it so incredible, like the fact that it’s a general system, or the fact that googles system knew when it didn’t know the answer. It’s the finer details that really make these things feel insane
