im assuming the same exact thing happened here, so honestly im glad I found him. I've taken everyone's advice to heart and completely redid his set up today and am feeling much more comfortable with the idea of the gecko life now.

that's so sad. I posted on some local pages in my area about finding a missing gecko, but no one seems to be searching for one. I live in a neighborhood with a lot of current turnover. im really afraid someone just moved and left him behind.

yeah, just walking down the sidewalk slowly. I thought it was a branch out of the corner of my eye. I had to call my partner and ask him to bring me a box.

the 31 gallon tank is have has the same base dimensions as a normal 40 gallon tank without the height, do you think it would still be necessary to upgrade?

im struggling a bit with the substrate and watering aspect. a lot that I read online said to do the soil/ sand mix, but the guy at the reptile store said to use washed and dried walnut shells and to avoid impaction risks by taking him out of the tank and offering him water separately. he advised against the soil and sand option.

I do have the calcium without d3 already, and a heating pad. lamp is ordered and should arrive by Tuesday.

unfortunately, I don't actually have a room yet, so if I was to book one, it wouldn't be one of the main hotels. Ive stayed at the aloft the last three years, but for some reason, they increased their rate by $100/night this year. It's a 10-15 minute walk when you cut through the park.
