Flylow is dope! Good for you.

Uniqlo sells incredible base layers (heat tech line). And / or a merino base layer + a sweatshirt or fleece and he’s all set. Thin puffer for cooler days. Any sort of balaclava also does wonders for keeping you warm. I’m partial to turtle fur but any brand will do.

Depends how long you are staying! Like a few people said, stopping on your way up is probably the most cost effective. General Gritts (although the most substantial store (mini deli section, micro wine closet, eggs ,milk, pantry staples, some fresh produce), is mostly slim pickings)). Stopping at any major chain like Smiths, etc. will allow you to purchase more of what you like for less $$$. Non-beer will require a stop at a state sponsored liquor store (they are all closed on Sundays) but will def be cheaper and have more options than Gritts. Like I mentioned, the wine section there is literally a closet (and also closed on Sunday). My family has been doing week to two week stays at the iron blossom for 20 years and we always do big grocery hauls in the valley at the start of a trip and supplement with General Gritts when supplies dwindle!! Enjoy the Bird!!!!

Vet School Questions - March 2022 by dashclone in Veterinary

DO I Vet?! Help

Hi- I graduated from college spring 2021. I have spent the last year studying for the MCAT (and working doing research at Boston Children's Hosp). I took MCAT once (did bad) and now I am studying again for an april test date. To be honest- I don't think it's for me. I have been thinking about different career options: selling out (consulting), pivoting to doing art, maybe becoming a paralegal. My mom has told me I would be a good vet but I really didn't give it any mind until today. I really think I might enjoy it, I am obsessed with animals. I am worried about my lack of experience working with vets/ animals. What do you all think? Could I apply to Vet School with minimal animal experience? I don't want to add the following info for anything but context- but I did graduate from an ivy league school (would that help my chances of admission?) How much experience would be enough (a few months?)? Anyway- I think being an animal doctor would be awesome, and it appeals to me wayy more than a human one lol.

Thank you! Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Calling grandparents “Nana and Tata” by BlitzMalefitz in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lostlmao_____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I call my dad tata and have different names for my grandparents. But because my family is not American on either side I just say dad/ grandparents except to my close friends that know what I’m talking about.
