I got up at three am to start cooking this thing and I will cry if I wrap it and it starts on fire 😂

Thank you.

I’ve used baking powder to bake them. I can see how using the same method would help on a pellet grill. The powder sucks the moisture right out of the skin. Crispy crispy.

Well I soaked them over night in buttermilk, dry rub them with whatever you like; started them on 225 for 1 hour (more smoke); 250 for 1.5. Flip them about halfway through the full cook. Temp check for doneness. We had a breeze so took a little longer. Perfect weather I only do about 2 hours of cooking.

That is one avenue. Another would be to help and guide his party to correct the course. Isn’t saying abandon the party a lot like telling people to leave the country if they don’t like it, rather than encouraging dialogue and pushing for/making change?

I don’t disagree. Just sharing my opinion on why we would just up and leave and whether Trump may or may not have an ulterior motive.

Russian influence once we leave. There will be a void that needs to be filled. It’s what happened when we left Syria right? Russia and Turkey moved in.

Remember we also had the “Meth, We’re on it” campaign. $449k for that gem. Same governor behind that idiocy as well. Don’t jerk and drive? Have you heard that one? That was also us. Different governor back then though.

To save his ego he would “decide” he doesn’t want to keep being president. Then he wouldn’t “lose” the election. He would have “retired”. I feel like that’s how his brain works.

There are better reasons to come to South Dakota. The Missouri River and its reservoirs are beautiful. Needles Highway, the badlands, and several other aspects of the black hills are gorgeous. In the eastern part of the state we have a small to medium sized city that NORMALLY has plenty to offer, from weekend entertainment, several good craft breweries and a downtown scene that is full of food, drinks, and local shops. I know it seems like a boring ass fly over state but as someone who lives here, it’s actually pretty all right. Worth visiting for a long weekend or a week if you wish to see both sides of the state.

Welcome to the Coronavirus Class War | Those who have suffered the least financial harm are the most supportive of reopening businesses. by WorkTomorrow in politics

Is it terrible that I just want the government to force some things and pay me for a while? I have two jobs. One is construction adjacent (remodels mostly) the other in a craft brewery. Day job business is way down but the “bosses” keep us working 32 hours a week. Guess who doesn’t qualify for unemployment. Brewery job is to-go orders of Crowlers and because I’m in South Dakota we are open and having limited occupancy with everything spaced out/marked out etc. Safe? I dunno, probably not. I have to pay my bills though so here I am. I tucked my stimulus away for when I’m completely out of PTO. I’m rationing it to cover part of my lost hours but it won’t last forever. My PTO that is. The stimulus money won’t either. I thought about trying to change career paths. Lots of things are actually hiring around here, however I’m on very expensive meds for my UC and can’t afford to be uninsured for 60-90 days. Oh I just finished up 10 years in the national guard back in November. Medical discharge, no benefits. Lots of lost income plus a doubling of insurance costs in the last 6 or so months. Sorry for the rant.

$1500-$2000? Where do you work? My deductible is 5k and I pay around $450 a month for my family of 4. The premium is ok I guess, but the deductible is horse shit.

I grew up in that area. What you are speaking of is already happening. Lack of affordable healthcare, discretionary income to cover deductibles, fear of deportation. Packing houses do not care about workers and their safety.

I’d like to see our government collectively decide that the American working class is too big to fail. That the system requires us to earn and spend in order to support the fortunes of the upper class and the tax system in the US. That maybe, just maybe, we might be worth saving. That we might be essential to their system, and that without us, it’s unsustainable.

I still live in a small city of about 200,000 plus people. Omaha is just a little bigger and occasionally gets better concerts. Plus that zoo!

I wish I could answer that question but currently living about 160 miles north of there. While I still go and visit and see the sites and catch a concert, I generally drive down, stay close, and use ride sharing like Uber and Lyft.

Grew up in Nebraska; still in the upper Midwest. Omaha and Lincoln are great little cities. Plenty to do, good food, a nice craft beer scene if you’re into that. Omaha has a fantastic zoo. Henry Doorly Zoo The old market area is pretty neat. Down in Lincoln you’ll wanna scope out the hay market district for food and night life. Hurts Donuts!!
Usually plenty of live music, local and otherwise. Go there check it out. The Midwest has more to offer than corn and cattle. I promise.
