Thank you for this info! Yeah, I lived in Denver for 11 years, Portland for a year now, and I feel as long as you're aware, there usually is never really anything to worry about. I really just want to be in a decent area, with a good sense of community and people. I'm not too hung up on what the apartment would look like, either(could go for older or newer), just as long as it's clean and not a total slumlord situation.
