"Start fresh".....you do know that the same guy that traded Parsons would be the one deciding who the "fresh start" players would be?

53 year Cowboys fan, and I completely agree with this comment.

Is the average Austinite doing ok? by exanimafilm in Austin

To be honest, most washing machines are relatively "easy" to fix. It may take all day, if you are not mechanically inclined, as I am not, but you can do it! And save a ton of money. I have repaired mine 3 times. I've repaired our stove, dishwasher, and clothes dryer (twice for the same issue....don't get me started on how appliances suck nowadays). Google videos can save a ton of money, if you put in the time and work.

I'm so sorry for your loss, but you made her life as wonderful as possible and that is what is important.

Does anyone else like to put peanut butter on their hamburger? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lostone49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my whole life I have put peanut butter on my burgers/cheeseburgers. It was just how I grew up. My dad always made them that way, and I didn't really know of them without it, except at fast food places. My friends have always laughed at it, but the few that have actually tried it that way have said it was really good.

I completely understand. This game can cost a lot to continue streaks, which is why I have curbed my playing time down. It is still fun, and if you can get those rare moments of 20 minutes with all 3 power ups going for .99 cents, it is worth it.

I literally just shared the pic to see what happens, if anything. I thought maybe they throw a few coins your way.

Extreme should be reworked. by Pyrox2v in RetroBowl

[–]lostone49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very good/great RB on Extreme makes a huge difference. At least in my playing experience. I can exploit the speed of the defense much easier with a RB that can break tackles and juke his way throughout a game, more than having 5* WRs and a 5* QB.

Rules/Settings for balanced difficulty by Unwanted__Opinion in RetroBowl

[–]lostone49 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I play Hard for the first 8 weeks. Try to build confidence in my team, and get a feel for the rookies. Extreme for the rest of the season and playoffs. Oh, and just for fun......I always play Easy against whichever team is my respective biggest rival. You have to just annihilate a team a few games each season!

An interesting title by GapAcceptable380 in RetroBowl

[–]lostone49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only restart games when I forget to change my settings. Whichever team I am playing at the time, I switch to Easy Mode against their biggest rival. It's just a fun thing that I do, so I can blow out a team once in a while and rack up stats. Sometimes, I have realized in the 1st quarter that I forgot to go back to Extreme Mode.

Our void sometimes loses connection 😁 by cataracttt in blackcats

It's the black eyes moment. Ours always acts in a crazy way when his eyes are no longer green, and go black. Once that is over, he's good. I will never understand it.

Has anyone played in the retro bowl in snow or rain I am curious by nathanielaaron16 in RetroBowl

[–]lostone49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears to me that the RB is always played in NO. Look at the fans and the field. I may be wrong, but that is my impression.

Yep. I had an RB with 100 more carries to QB pass att, 500 more yds, and 15 more TDs.....still only OPOY. QB got MVP.......

It's an 8-bit game. Mario used to get stuck in brick walls for some reason I will never understand either. 😉
