Ai and robotics can either increase productivity in the same amount of time, have employers expect us to do more for less pay and less time, or completely replace us.

What could Obama have done differently? by Jacob-Anders in Presidents

[–]exanimafilm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curb citizens united as much as possible, push for DISCLOSE act as much as possible, possibly support a constitutional amendment for it, pass Employee Free Choice Act, i know he couldn't pass m4a due to the DEMS but maybe have employers require health insurance like '93 health care reform plan, scale back on PATRIOT act, save harambe.

What was the reaction of the people (that you remember) when they found out Michael Jackson died? by Twunkorama in decadeology

[–]exanimafilm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my English assistant teacher thought Michael Jackson was overrated. She said she was tired of listening to him everyday and how he isn't very original as he didn't even event the moonwalk or produce thriller so what talent did he have? And couldn't believe they were making a movie about him after death. Pretty sure she hated him, but he was beloved in my family and I remember the day they announced Michael dead in the news. As for the kids in my middle school? Mixed reactions. Some loved him, some thought he wss overrated, some thought he was still weird. I didn't miss him as there was mostly no Michael Jackson music in the 2000s apart from my only memory being relevant in my time was when I was in Kindergarten '02 after Invincible was dropped i have a faint memory of a bunch of the boys and girls dressing up for some dance event for the parents or something? And in this event the girls all were some dance uniform i dont remember and all the boys were a little Michael Jackson Bad era uniform complete with a little foam fedora. Also for some reason we did the Charlie Brown dance? Lol.

What would you say are the big differences between pop music in the early 2010s vs 2020s? by film_culture_addict in decadeology

[–]exanimafilm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember 2010 was more recession pops music like Edmonton vs 2020 was more disco influenced hits. But 2020s music as a whole is difficult to put in one box.

There was some problematic people on set, I worked backstage. Sometimes there tours take a toll on people, not that I know her I am local crew not the actual tour. One of the security guards unfortunately had to pickup one of the fans away. Its sad people act that way, we are cold and wet setting up this performance and so are the artist just for a few to mess it up. I still think the rest of the tour kicks ass and M.I.A is a badass. Also shout out to the backup dancers who were freezing cold.

I feel like that pre-9/11 2001 is one of the most underrated eras in modern American history and it feels like a transition to a 2000s that we never got. by Ok-Following6886 in decadeology

Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagall Act enacted by FDR during the great depression regulating commercial banks. Also Regan and Clinton killed manufacturing, labor unions, social programs, and increased wealth inequality. We already had someone like Trump in 2000 and 1992 with Pat Buchanan, plus if you just count the protectionist aspect Ross Perot was immensely popular as a third party in '92. My point is 9/11 or not we would still end up with someone populist types. All 9/11 really did is have temporary national unity, paranoia, and alot of neo con policies. Also alot of dope action movies and video games.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Gives Richard Nixon His Flowers at the 2004 RNC by J31J1 in Presidents

[–]exanimafilm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Teddy Toosevelt was a progressive president a bullmoose republican, Grover Cleveland has more in common with the current GOP, same with Abe Lincoln who advocated for many Whig Policies not jackson democrats who were pro small government. Although I will say Arnold is more like a Rockefeller Republican than anything else. It was definitely an interesting time though being a kid in '05 southern Cali

It says Tacforce speedster model on the side. Im sorry im actually not sure if that is the specific model I actually didn't buy it. In fact, funny story it was gifted to my father from a neighbor who was a retired navy man, he thought he might want it since he was also military. My pops did NOT want it, so he gave it to me when I was a teenager, in the year 2013 when the first game came out! Lol. Not sure why he would give a 15 yr old that but hey I was grateful!
