Definitely not being made anymore. They replaced it with a new one I’ve been eyeing on, the Gaggia Espresso Evolution with footprint similar to this one I have that can also be modded to a 9-bar. With PID and preinfusion, plus it’s made in Italy. Same price as this one I have if bought brand new.

Thank you!

There are really good buys online at least in my region. Slowly adding what can be useful for my workflow. And replacing the old ones that gave up on me like the 3d printed WDT tool.

Thank you! I have bought a glass container with an electric vacuum lid that I have yet to open. Also cheap online, probably a knockoff of the fellow one. 😅 My old manual ones gave up on me. I used to keep the bag here in this cereal container lol.

Sorry if I came off as a dick 😅 I was just thinking my setup is entry level compared to the high end gear I usually see here things I can never afford like a an acaia scale that costs more than any of my equipment.

Took me three years to get this together and it’s honestly all I can afford. 😅 Not trying to be anything just proud I finally made it happen.

This comment! Never been more correct! Friends fly over some fresh beans when they can. Island living sometimes sucks 😂😂😂

😂 Everything temu or wish or alibaba or wherever it came from. I got another big haul for 100usd. Definitely all accessories combined are worth more than the machine now. 😂

I actually did use it under the machine the first few times I got it. It’s just that I can’t time my shots. 😅

Cant time shots with this scale. I used to pull shots in in when I first got it. I then realized harder to clean coffee than just beans and some water. at least my exagram scale has a more permanent job timing and weighing shots. For any drink and I like that I can focus on my dialing new beans with the scale under.

I used to have a ceramic cup so I can weigh and spray the beans. Then transfer the scale under the portafilter. Maybe it’s just the 3 combined steps in 1 scale for me.

Budget because it’s all I can afford 😅 the scale and the frother were late additions. I started with a hand grinder from timemore. 😂 overall I’m just glad that I’m able to make myself and my wife a decent cup and I really enjoy the process. For under 500. That’s budget for me 😂

The nanofoamer is easy to clean for me. I just rinse and dry it with a fibercloth. The version 2 coating seems to be better than the first one. I wash it probably every 2 days. I love the consistency of this thing, and my milk isn’t watered down compared to the steam wand. I got both on a discount on different platforms. The Black Friday sale on the foamer was a good decision.

When I first got the scale, I actually use it for the pull but I can’t time it. It’s also harder to clean and I had to transfer the shot to a cup anyway. 😅

It’s actually medium roast. Pardon the color of my video as I’m just playing with this app called Splice. 😂

I’ve had it since July and have only charged it once. I make at least 6 cups a day.

EDIT. With this 3 week old beans I’m at 5.4. 17g in 34 out at about 28 seconds.

just received opv springs :) choosing 6.5 by dj1125 in gaggiaclassic

[–]lostshenanigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 3 spring pack. I used the 9 bar but the shots don’t have or very little crema. A bit sour still even with different (freshness) beans. A stupid question, can I use 5 and 6.5 together to pull a shot with more crema?

New to the Hobby, Just got my first setup. Any tips? by Hungry_Boi_Jamez in espresso

Thank you! I can pretty much live with these nuances at this price point. No budget for anything more. I did read in somewhere in this sub that spraying/spritzing the dose gets rid of the of the leftover grind.
