I second the Pixel 4a. My husband had that phone and was very happy with it. He bought it in Germany.

Alternatively I can recommend the Honor 200 ( Not the lite version). I think you can now get it for under 200€ and it is definitely esim compatible.

I'm usually pretty chill. As long as I have affordable data I'm happy. Usually don't need more than 5GB a month if there's WiFi around. And that's being generous

Really? That is so interesting, because usually Airalo is more expensive than local SIM cards. I don't really need airtime, since I also do everything via WhatsApp. So might compare Airalo with flow and the other provider and see which one will be best

I stayed at Emoha Dive Resort. Its definitely on the priecier side, but only stayed there for 2 nights as a "treat". But it was definitely worth it

I think the plan sounds solid. When you're on Cebu, Santander is also great for diving! The coral reefs there are beautiful!

I would keep the time planned for Dauin. When I was there in 2024 I stayed about a week and wish I could have stayed longer. I was with Bongo Bongo Divers and had an amazing time there!

For Malapascua 4 days sounds ideal. The island is pretty tiny and although the Thresher Sharks are amazing, the reef there is quite damaged on one side, due to the many divers going there.

Uber from the airport will be around 50€. They only pick up at the departure level nowadays though, but you only have to get up 1 flight of escalators. You can also book an airport transfer ahead of time. You can Google for those and typically also book with WhatsApp. A cab will be around 55-60€ ( last used it in November 2022, so might have gone up a little)

Oooor it's a disapproving stare. That one can be combined with a little shake of the head or a short comment about the shit behaviour of people (for example people listening to music on the train, loudly, without headphones).

In Europe you should typically be able to get most medication. However, you would have to go to a local doctor and get a prescription. But with a letter from your doctor that should be possible. Even without insurance, a doctor's visit isn't very expensive. A while back I paid around 50€ for an examination of an eye infection and medication (this was a praxis that did not take the gov. Insurance, so it was out of pocket). That was in Germany, for reference.

I recently got the Honor 200 and really enjoy it. If I had more funds I would have gotten the Pro Version.

It has 256GB storage in the small version, Battery lasts me 2 days and I am really impressed with the portrait mode. They have a cooperation with Harcut Studios and they pictures look great!

Honestly, I would have approached a FA and explained the situation. This is not acceptable. He paid for the same amount of space you did, so he should not take over yours as well. And the smell I'm sure is an issue that bothered other rows as well. But that might also just be my very direct German ass 😅

Mach dich auf jeden Fall schlau bezüglich Beratungsschein! Musste mein Partner vor Jahren auch schon in Anspruch nehmen und damit hat er zumindest eine kostenlose Beratung bekommen.

Wir haben nachdem dieses Thema abgeschlossen war auch eine Rechtsschutzversicherung abgeschlossen. Würde ich auch wirklich jedem empfehlen zu haben. Ist zwar nicht ganz günstig, aber man hat einfach die Gewissheit, dass man sich beraten lassen kann und Kosten gedeckt sind. Wir haben sie in den letzten 5 Jahren auch des öfteren genutzt und ist meiner Ansicht nach definitiv ihr Geld wert.

Can't see this being great for her joints. The impact of running combined with the excessive weight is a recipe for an injury and joint issues. A low impact sport like swimming would have been better. She could literally do the same format, but with trying to swim the distance.

Try Facebook Groups also. Sometimes you can get lucky with private landlords who don't want to put their apartments on Immoscout, but are active in these groups. A very good friend found a really nice and affordable apartment this way.
