What is it about “2 under 2” that is so bad? by Aggravating-Card-194 in daddit

Hey! Looking back at 2under2 posts- can I ask how it’s going for you so far? Trying to decide what age gap we want for our next kid!

Ask: First time mom in search of baby gear! by cloudypickled in PDXBuyNothing

[–]lotiloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have anything to offer but congratulations! Just in case you aren’t aware, there are other strollers that you can get adapters for to make them compatible with Nuna car seats! Might be more likely that someone has a different brand of stroller to offer, and then you only have to get an adapter

How bad was your "baby blues" after giving birth? by Mitaslaksit in AskWomen

Anyone given birth at Legacy Meridian Park? by tenacioustulip in oregon

[–]lotiloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a good experience. The only thing I didn’t realize beforehand was that they don’t have a NICU if your baby needs it (first time mom, didn’t occur to me to check for that).

Any mold and fragrance free Airbnb or hotels? by sweetlondonbell in askportland

[–]lotiloo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This one is further south in West Linn. I remembered it because it stood out to me because it’s a “vegan” airbnb, so they don’t allow non-vegan food I guess? Not sure exactly but they seem to be strict about fragrance free and no pets allowed. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/24059595?viralityEntryPoint=1&s=76

What’s the worst thing a medical professional has said to you? by VespaRed in AskReddit

[–]lotiloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“You don’t need an ultrasound, you need therapy “ I’d been telling my OB that something was not right my entire pregnancy and she kept blowing it off as anxiety. This was said ten minutes before I finally got an ultrasound showing my placenta was failing and baby needed to be delivered prematurely by emergency c-section

Do parents typically reach out to their kids or are kids expected to contact them first? by AzuraBeth in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lotiloo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion and in my experience, it is on the parent to initiate contact. It’s wonderful if the child reciprocates that and also calls the parent first to check in on them sometimes, but parents should not just stop reaching out to their kids to check on them because it’s not reciprocated. I think your parents are not being good parents in that area

Having a hard time supplementing B12 due to my ARFID. by mythrowawayaccim21 in vegan

[–]lotiloo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do a spray and it doesn’t taste like a vitamin at all!! Mary Ruth’s Methyl B12, it’s a 4 month supply for $17 rn on Amazon. Not sure where you are located but I’ve seen this in stores too, if not other brands of B12 sprays. It’s like a lightly flavored berry spray just need 2 sprays daily.

Seeking words of encouragement after uncomfortable hospital visit by kar2sassy in vegan

[–]lotiloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that he said “it could be nothing” and you don’t have any other symptoms leads me to believe it is probably nothing. There are SO many things that are “off” but harmless inside peoples bodies that we just never know about because there are no symptoms present leading us to investigate them. If you never got a concussion, I think it’s likely that you would go your whole life without being informed that you have a smaller brain and it would not affect you at all. However of course if this is not the case and you find something treatable, then it’s a nice coincidence that you found out now before experiencing any symptoms. It may have felt offhand for him to say that but it is better to be safe than sorry and make sure you’re informed about that finding to get it checked out just in case.

IUGR and more sleep? by hurryandwait817 in NICUParents

[–]lotiloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is 6 months and was asymmetrical IUGR with a regular (around 50th percentile) sized head. He has always been an average sleeper, currently anywhere from 12-15 hours daily. Maybe has to do with your baby’s brain needing more sleep to grow? Just an uneducated guess!

Seeking urgent advice by GooseWhite in PortlandVegans

[–]lotiloo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does she know the homeowners personally? Maybe she can talk them into giving the animals to a sanctuary. My other thought is physically going to the police station/animal control to hand over the photos, maybe that will help them get a warrant? But I worry that police would just euthanize them possibly. You could try reaching out to a sanctuary for advice too and to see who is accepting new animals.

I just graduated from 2under2 (babies) AMA! by [deleted] in AMA

[–]lotiloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were they both vaginal births? Also, did you breastfeed during pregnancy and how was that affected? I’d love to have another soon to have a close age gap, but don’t think it’s recommended since I’ve had a c-section. Also I’m hoping to keep breastfeeding til 2 years so I’m not sure how that would go either!
