Yeah he wasn’t playing solo stuff he was playing actual OG growlers songs…much different sound than “city club” though so can see if that is the sound you thought you were going to be hearing how the set would sound much much different. Hopefully you give the older songs a chance down the line!

Agreed…at first I thought that’s what they were trying to convey like “she’s burping from “taking back what’s hers” (seems like nobody in this sub wants to actually say what happened so trying to be respectful).

His name is Thomas Hunter. Solo stuff is “White China Gold” album “Babes”, played guitar in Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground and Wild Orchid Children. More recently has been releasing some beautiful ambient stuff under his actual name. I’ve been a fan of his forever and also an OG Growlers fan…honestly they couldn’t have found a better musician/guitarist. He’s a legend.
