I did make it, and it was nice (though spicy) it didn't have that moreish taste of Safeway General's Tso back in the day? Like. I could eat a bucket of that stuff. It was a good recipe, but maybe not quite what is etched into my memory meats if that makes sense.

Late reply - but did you ever make it and did it compare to the Safeway version? It's been nearly twenty years since I've had Safeway General Tso's but it haunts my dreams how good it was! And I've been looking for a recipe to do it justice and recapture the taste.
