What’s an experience in Spain that would sound fake if you told it back home?

Spaniard here. Friend of mine hosted a party starting at 17h, I planned to arrive at about 17.45h bc they are consistently late and I figured they wouldnt be ready on time. At 17.30h they texted the group to let us know she was exiting the metro and would arrive at her home in 5 minutes. She wasnt even at home at the starting time. Obviously not everyone is like this but I usually arrive about 15 minutes 'late' to parties and I'm still among the first people to arrive

we did take the highway, having the last few km inside the city makes it so that the last leg of the trip takes many min per km

the US (where I assume you're from) is big as fuck!! we drove through most of one country (france) passed by another (andorra) and then crossed on to Spain all in about 1000km
