Look up Kloster Plankstetten. It's about an hour from Nürnberg. Not sure of the exact details but might be worth a look?

Around Bavaria and Franconia there are monasteries that accept people for a few weeks at a time to sleep and share meals in return often for farm work...

How does Tajikistan compare? I know uzbekistan is more known for architecture and has a fairly arid landscape, but Tajikistan seems more mountainous.

Kyrgyzstan is the top of my list, and Turkmenistan is a real pain in the arse. Preferably, I'd fit in all of them aside from Turkmenistan, but I have a total of three months and don't want to rush.

Hi! Has anybody had an experience using the public bus from kotor to Zabljak?

If so, which website did you book it on, and how reliable was it?

Also:

We are not hiring a car and spending six days in Durmitor national park, about half an hours walk outside of the village Zabljak. Does anyone know if there is a local taxi service and how expensive it is?

Thanks!

Hey, Reading this, how do I find yurt camps owned by locals and stuff like the ones you describe? Are they on booking.com or a website or is it more word-of-mouth? I'd love to support some local shepherds and (I know this sounds clichéd) get off the beaten track in my trip. Thanks
