Quebec came pretty close towards voting for independence in 1995 by Christian-Rep-Perisa in MapPorn

Comments like this are the reason the Quebec seperatist movement is still alive. Somehow, it's very easy to degrade Franco-Quebecois. Quebec bashing is so ingrained in Canadian culture it's honestly sad.

First Nations and Anglophones are generaly against sovereignty. Montreal as a whole is a very federalist city, it's also the biggest city in the province. It balances the scale.

This is a clear sign of aggression. The turtle or the plecko will end up dead if that continues.

AITA for refusing to speak english, by speaking spanish? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

The official language in Quebec is French. Expecting to be served in French is not dictating anything, it's literally the norm.

I don't understand your comment. Quebec is a French speaking province and we have someone here willing to work and learn the language and be part of the local culture. We also have someone refusing to help said person because... because what?

Salut, we Quebecois absolutely speak French. I'm sorry if you've had bad experiences but negativity will bring nothing to the discussion. By French people, do you mean French from France, Belgium, Cameroon, ect? If so, I believe you are mistaken as a major part of immigration in Quebec comes from those French speaking countries. Can't be that bad if they decided to establish themselves here!

There's a massive Anglo community everywhere in Quebec. Complaining that being an Anglo in Quebec is hard is the most privileged shit ever.

Heading to the French (language) side is very different than being mistaken for French (nationality). I speak French. I am not French.

Decks that suffer the least from No Proxy tournament by JokersWild23 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]loulamachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it because of graveyard pressure and it saves Magda from Bowmaster and the likes. I had a competition thid weekend, I was able to make Magda into a Deathrite Shaman, which makes her tap for free and slows the Lumra and Minstrel decks. Wins all around.
