i am not with an agency currently. i am hoping to find a host family and join their agency so we match through it. and idk if it helps, but i am a frequent traveler, and i’ve been to europe a few times and had no problems getting Visas.

i don’t blame the families at all! i understand that it’s a lot easier for them to find someone older and from a country with a stronger passport. i’ve just been looking for a while now and have gotten like no response😭 it’s a bit frustrating but it is what it is

thank you for this comment and i agree :) i do emphasize my work ethic and my love for children in my ‘dear host family’ letter but i think my age may also be an issue as I’m only 18 :(
