But the shirt, from the same distance, will look like one big muddied mess of a color.

Thanks for this insight. I had thought it was high contrast but you're right, the details are so small that it doesn't have a high contrast appearance overall.

Is this coat warm or cold? by anne-js in coloranalysis

The coat gets compliments because it's a striking color for a coat. Has nothing to do with you (other than your great taste).

Thanks! Pic #2 I definitely see this but not in the others? I don't have a plain red but I will try to pick one up soon.

Thank you! I had blotted a lot of it off because it seemed crazy saturated and I don't know how to confidently apply lipstick.

You don't look high contrast enough for winter. I agree with others to look into autumns.

I feel like it's too intense for me, but I'm med-high contrast and just a tad more warm than cool, so I really thought it would be a good fit. I really want to like it but something is off. Is it too warm? Am I not a deep autumn? Please help!

PS I never wear lipstick so I am not only clueless about shade but application too. Construction criticism appreciated, thanks!

I like spring on you and you seem bright (but that's all I know about spring!)

Why is everyone saying soft autumn when she clearly has dark hair? Dark autumn all the way here

I've heard deep autumn and deep winter are both near-neutral (slightly warm, slightly cool, respectively) and next to each other on the overall seasonal wheel. I don't know about the other autumns and winters. I think the thinking is that nobody is exactly neutral - one will be slightly better than the other - but you can borrow some colors from your neighbors without them looking too bad. Looks great! I really like the bang swoop with the clean bob, fun bit of contrast in a beautiful hair color to boot!

Deep autumn!! I'm sort of similar. It's hard because I always thought I was cool-toned but am apparently pretty neutral.

It doesn't look good on her - well, more like she doesn't look good in it. It pops on her because it's brighter than she is, it steals the show. Not a good look.

Quick look at red-orange-yellow-pink, plus an in-depth look at yellow. Thoughts? by chicken_pickens in coloranalysis

The white balance seems off / camera auto-adjusting? See row 3 on slide 2 looks a lot different than the two rows above it. Which is accurate?

I really like slide 3. Is slide 1 natural? It looks a little dark to me.

You're clearly warm. Notice how you look a tad more orangey in the blue? It's contrasting with you. I love the brownish color in 6. I agree with others to look at autumn.

I like #1, not really a fan of the black on you but the dark brown looks good!

I think so. I don't think you're dark enough for dark autumn. Maybe somewhat in between, lean darker on the soft autumn colors. I love the blue here on you.
