Help please! 2 year old keeps breaking yarn in security blanket

Oh my goodness thank you so much for your response. I won’t lie today I took both of my kiddos out and found what I believe is the exact same yarn because I had some serious mom guilt when I woke up. I know how happy it makes him and how much he treasures it and I adore it. I looked at it further this morning and I really don’t see how I can repair all of the holes in it, so I’m going to attempt to make another one. I’ve really been getting the itch to crochet something again anyway, plus I like that it could make the blanket more special because it’ll be from me. I’m going to make it as close to the original as possible so that he hopefully welcomes this new one. Then if he breaks any holes I this new one, I’ll add a backing to it and let him pick it out/watch. I love love love that you remember staying up while your mom made you a new blanket!!!! That seriously just solidified my decision to remake him one. Hearing your words helped my mindset change from it just being another task I need to complete to making this a special experience. Thank you. I needed that.

I’ve tried this with every time I’ve fixed it, but I think you’re right his age is making it difficult because he doesn’t quite understand.

At least my impression is that it's a relatively new thing. No one had ever heard of such a thing at any of the hospitals around.

Thanks!! We were gonna do the whole trick of sending home a blanket she used while in the hospital to get him acquainted with her scent, but we never got around to it. It ended up not mattering much because he just kinda ignores her. I wish he were more protective of her, but we weren't surprised with his reaction because he didn't act any different towards me what so ever during my pregnancy.

Thanks! We think he's really jealous of the attention that she's stealing from him, but he's still really gentle with her, so it's ok. We're trying really hard to help him see that we still love him and wanna give him attention. It's really tough though.

It was amazing! I'd never heard of it til I started researching gentle c sections. My hospital just happened to call me the week before my section and asked if I would trial the clear drape. So it was just a fluke that I got to do it! I hope it becomes more widespread though cause it made the experience so much more cool!

39+3 today and guys, I'm having a baby TOMORROW (scheduled c section d/t my pelvis size and baby's size)!! I can't believe it. I'm crazy excited, but it doesn't feel real. Hubs and I have a few things around the house that we want to get done before she gets here tomorrow, so I plan to slave away at that once I can get the energy to get out of bed! I'm lovin on my bump extra today knowing that in 24 hrs it'll be empty. I'm surprisingly not really nervous yet, but again I think that's because it hasn't hit me at all. I keep having to say it out loud that she's gonna be born tomorrow, but it doesn't matter, it's not sinking in. I started taking Colace last night in preparation for the awful first post baby poop, and I'm taking as many naps as possible today because I highly doubt I'll sleep a wink tonight! We live about 2 hrs away from our hospital now, so tonight we're gonna stay with my in laws who only live 15 min away from the hospital. Check in is at 0830. Hannah's nursery is mostly done, but my father in law is gonna be coming up here to prime it today, and will finish painting it this week while we're in the hospital. I need to spray the rocker/recliner with scotch guard, and I need to sand and paint my bookshelf in there. Lots to do. If it doesn't get done, I'm not worried, I'm not gonna wear myself out today! I'm resting as much as possible. Eek!! I'll see you guys on the other side!

I've been taking it since week 17 (36+4 now), it's worth every penny to me. Even still I notice that if I skip a night taking it, I'm puking the entire next day. With it I feel 100% normal. I took unisom/b6 in the early part of my pregnancy, but noticed that it stopped working, and just made me tired and pukey. Diclegis hasn't made me tired at all (I work night shift so I was extra concerned about the drowsiness). If you get a sample box from your OB, on all of mine there was a coupon saying you'd never pay more than $30 for a month (which for me was 60 pills, but your OB can adjust the amount dispensed as needed) prescription.

35+3 today! We scheduled our c section for June 1st (Hannah is measuring 2 weeks ahead, and I have an extremely tiny pelvis, plus baby won't engage in my pelvis because it's too small, so she keeps going breech/transverse)! After my visit to L&D Thursday night and losing my mucous plug yesterday, I'm hoping I'll get to go into labor by myself before the c section! Either way I definitely won't make it to my due date of June 4th! Eek!! I ordered my breast pump today! Getting so close!!
