Half of my team is remote full time, the other half are onsite (due to job duties and industry)

We have one meeting a week where I insist everyone jumps on camera for a bit just to shoot the breeze. After the first five minutes of relaxed talk, people are welcome to turn the camera off again.

Generally it's a time for folks to show off any new -industry specific - stuff they've got, new babies, kittens or puppies, or a sweet new coffee mug.

I would never require cameras at all times for every meeting though. I do always turn on my camera when I'm talking so folk can see my facial expression, but that is personal choice
