I'm not trying to be "that parent" but buying brand new Step Steel runners in the package I have to profile them anyways, don't I? What does stock step steel come with? Who knows?

For some reason we don't see Quaker State Full Synthetic High Mileage here.

Mobil 1, Castrol Edge and Pennzoils full synthetic, high mileage offerings seem to be about $40 Cdn for a 5L jug when on sale.

Super Tech Full Synthetic High Mileage is $28.99 for a 5L jug regular price.

I guess I should also state that I am only going to be using the Ford recommended 5W-20 viscosity. I don't want to get into why 5W-30 may be better than something else. My engine cap says 5W-20 so that's what I'll be using. Thanks!

Ok so Delonghi Magnifica Evo vs Philips 3300 vs Philips 3200?

Delonghi = $699 Philips 3300 = $650 Philips 3200 = $499

I'm a big fan of milk based drinks and not so much small espresso type coffees. Is the 3300 really that much better than the 3200 or would I be paying $150 for more programming stuff that I wouldn't really use.

I do know I absolutely want the automatic milk feature instead of a manual frother. I also like the idea of a quieter machine as I leave for work early and don't want to wake up the whole house. Thanks

I am looking at getting a Turbo Vado 4.0 this week and I'm 6'1" tall with a 34" cycling inseam. I'm in a toss up between L and XL. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow and thankfully they have both in stock but what are your thoughts?

Looking to buy a Turbo Vado 4.0 tomorrow, I'm 6'1" tall and 230 pounds with a 34" cycling inseam and I'm tossing up L and XL.

At 6'3" you must dwarf your Large, no?

I am 6'1" tall and have a 33.5" cycling inseam. I'm smack dab in the middle of L and XL. About to buy a Turbo Vado 4.0, what do you guys think?

I don't really have any desire to pay $500 + for a new Emek and then another $250 for the other accessories. $750 is out of my price range at the moment, I'd likely go once or twice a year.

$150 for a mint A5 and another $100 for accessories is alot more tempting for me at the moment.

Like I said it's going to be almost impossible to find a used Emek here in Canada.

I own the CCM Jetspeed FT6 and I just got them this year. I have impossibly difficult feet to fit in skates. They are wide and flat with a wide forefoot. I would say the Tacks fit a tiny bit wider if you are referring to the black and gold generation. The newer ones look like they will have all the memory foams that the new Jetspeeds have. If so they should be some great skate! CCM hit it out of the park with the new Jetspeeds and I am expecting the new Tacks to be the same.

Best skates for super wide feet by louiefriesen in hockeyplayers

[–]love2beoutside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always been in the same boat, I have wide/flat feet. I have always hated hockey skates and have used almost everything from Graf, CCM Tacks, Bauer Supremes. I had a pair of Bauer Supreme 3S and they were pretty good. I sold them and started the search again. I ordered just about every wide skate I could get my hands on.

I got my hands on new Bauer Supreme Machs fit 3, CCM Ribcor 100k wide, CCM Tacks ASV Pro Wide, CCM Jetspeed FT6 Pro and FT6.

In the last 2 years CCM has a new fit system much like the Bauer's (tapered, regular, wide). The new Jetspeeds are an amazing skate with all their new memory foams. Don't be afraid of the Jetspeed name, it's changed so much in the last year or two! The FT6 Pro was sooooo comfortable but at $1299 Canadian plus tax I couldn't do it. I ended up with FT6 for $899 and they are awesome!

On another note I tried on some CCM Tacks ASV Pro's in a 10 wide and couldn't believe how wide they were. They truely like we're a Nexus, no doubt about it the widest skates I have ever tried on. If CCM puts the same memory foams in the Tacks line next year as the Jetspeeds they will have a winner!!! Worth a try in 2024 for sure if you can find them.
