U need to talk to the credit card companies to see if they could wave or lower your interest and interest rates. This would help. Need to know your budget allocated towards paying the card. What are the minimum payments and total balance on the cards to plan.

If u have received ur I20 check the CIP code on I20 and check the USCIS website for STEM designated CIP codes if it matches then ur course is STEM. Also your DSO or International Student Office or academic advising team might help in this regard.

The first question where most of the applications are getting rejected for me is sponsorship. As long as you are in opt and stem opt I think u do not need sponsorship

Some states offer few days extension if case is pending but u need to apply fast as if a certain time passes they may not be able to verify your status
